He believes the Neanderthal's fate has already been decided that he won't be in Baton Rouge for much longer. I'm sure LSU fans will love this kind of fodder from a guy like Josh Pate. In my opinion he's got the best college football show on the planet right now. He's very objective, very fair, and his takes are usually on point. In other words, he doesn't throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks like a lot of these sportscasters tend to do.

Josh Pate is on it. He makes sense. He's easy to listen to. Why can't others in the business do this?

He's easily my favorite football commentator and pretty much the only one I listen to these days. He's also extremely fair and doesn't seem to ever call for these types of things, so him being on the fire O train is extremely telling.

I watch him a lot on YouTube, pretty solid dude. Sometimes I peek in the Ramen Noodles express chats.

So which buffoon caricature media coach gets to come to LSU next and get a national title?

Kiffin fits the bold perfectly. Mocked in the media, has a bit, wins a title, goes on a bender, tanks out, then we move onto another clown to win a title

Josh Pate is a buffoon that thought Auburn should not have fired Gus. That was the last time I watched his show.

Basically Josh Pate believes beating Saban 1 of every 3 seasons is Auburn's ceiling. The only man that can do that is Gus. I hate to say it but Auburn was never falling behind any program they shouldn't have trailed to.

I do like Harsin though. He's a no-nonsense kind of guy. He probably won't ever beat Saban but should bring Auburn some perception of respectability it was lacking under Gus.

The thing about Josh is he knows rosters and doesnt just reiterate popular talking points like other national media. He has nuanced takes because he knows teams at the micro level since he follows recruiting.

He also came out and praised Auburn's hire of Bryan Harsin. He was one of the few who actually thought it was a "splash" hire.

Josh rarely discusses whether coaches should be fired and doesn't usually release information if he doesn't have a source.

He's not always right, but I trust his opinion more than pretty much anyone in sports media.

History says you're way wrong.

He probably won't ever beat Saban? Just winning the IB is not enough for Auburn. Gus won one SECC in 8 years, and had a terrible record vs Auburn's top 3 rivals. Harsin just accomplished in his 1st year what Gus couldn't do in multiple tries, winning in Baton Rouge.

Are you kidding me? Josh isn't jumping on anything controversial unless it's obvious to one and all. At this point, what would be the odds of him ticking off the LSU fans? Zero. Now last year if he wanted to have this conversation he knows he would have gotten pushback.

That's what he does, stays as far away from ticking off fans as possible as he continues to grow his brand. So far he has done a good job of basically talking football without alienating each fan base. Nothing wrong with that but he isn't getting ahead of any controversial topic in the SEC.

This should tell you how bad the LSU situation is.

The fact that this man isn't the voice of college football is mind blowing. His content is so much better, RJ Young is a distant 2nd. Pate should be having 6 figure views on every video

Pate is the GOAT right now. Puts anything on SECN and ESPN to shame.
