University of West Florida
The University of West Florida is located on Pensacola Bay, which connects to the Gulf of Mexico. The university owns part of Pensacola Beach and allows students to use the property for recreation and research projects. Much of the UWF campus lies within a wilderness preserve, and the school provides kayaks and canoes for students to rent and use on the Escambia River. Mountain bike and hiking trails are also available on campus.

Best weather, only if you ignore the summer months. Put this Floridian down for App State.

It was like being boiled alive to go outside 4 months out of the year. We won't even get into the traffic during the summer months. Thank you no. I will pass.

Appalachian State, Pepperdine, or a Western Carolina type school. Scenery and good weather.

So true. I was in Delray Beach and West Palm last summer for a family event. I stayed at a hotel that is normally $300-400 a night in high season. I got it for $169 in June because nobody wants to be in that hellfire furnace in the summer.
Boone, NC is awesome and beautiful.

Always been strange to me that so many visit the Florida beaches in the Summer. Its definitely the high vacation season in the Panhandle over to Daytona in July and August.

Other than a tendency to get really cold from time to time the temperate climate in Fayetteville, AR. is a real plus. Plus the scenery is wonderful. It can still get hot in the summer but generally its a bit cooler than most of the rest of the state.
Where Boone has an advantage is that if you just have to see the ocean its a short drive. Boone really is a gorgeous town.

People who think 99 and humid like a rain shower is great weather clearly don’t live it 6 months a year

Best time is October when the temps are much more mild but the water is still warm

I head Northeast to the Cape in the Summer and occasionally out west.

I know, what an awful choice. It's so freaking humid and miserable there, constant threat of hurricanes for at least 3 months, rains all the time.... sounds like where I live.

UCSD and SDSU should be top. San Diego's weather is amazing year-round and it has the advantage of not smelling like LA
