I'm wondering if Kimbo would come back. He finished his 4th year at Pittsburg State with a 10-12 record (and a 5-game losing streak.)

He'd fit right in with our philosophy that there's more important things than winning basketball games.

Hard to argue the point that the BB program has suffered from the SEC move. Expectations for the program are at fairly low levels these days.

Clarify that...expectations for the BB program within Mizzou's AD aren't high.

Expectations from the fan base are high.

I really hoped CCM would get it rolling but he is looking more and more like another Kim.

On a serious note, mizzou needs to either get a PROVEN winner, or go young. None of this average coaching record, or an older guy who has never coached D1(no offense).

Maybe Kimmie has GMU winning 18+ games off the bat

I’m sure there’s a BB equivalent of Drink out there somewhere for a mid major just waiting for a chance to make the jump.

Musselman is 20 years older than Drink, and Drink doesn't act like a clown for publicity

Age is the real difference to me.

Comes from a smaller school, shows enthusiasm, loves recruiting, kids love him.

I don’t think Drink would skip acknowledging the other coach and separate himself from his team to go stand on the scores table. Muss is a good coach but he’s definitely got an ego look at me quality to him.

It's so weird with college basketball vs football, a lot of the coaches are content with their job at small schools like unc-greensboro, Butler, or Xavier. They might not want to make a leap to the SEC or any major conference.

Drink hasn't done anything yet. Let's first make sure that he's not another Woody Widenhofer.

Odom was fired after a .500 season and Drink is being put on a pedestal after a pandemic and another .500 season and losing the last 2 games of the year to down teams. Not knocking him, but let him prove himself before declaring him the messiah.

Right, that is a 9-10 game winner most seasons

Odom wasn’t fired because of his record. He was fired for picking a fight with the AD over his extension. He dared the AD to fire him and the AD complied.

Yep. Odom could not read a room, a defense, or his AD.
