Lets all cheer!! And at the post game, Gonzo again said, "I know there are more important things in life than winning some ball games.”

Of course that's true. Curing cancer is certainly more important...but I'd hope Gonzo appreciates that he was hired (and paid millions) to win basketball games.

Season started strong.

Almost couldn’t care less how it’s finishing.

Why is everyone so down? Since when did mizzou become this powerhouse that a 7 seed is a disappointment.

Have you actually watched them play in the last month? They’re utterly incompetent

They have been, but you also have to look at the season as a whole.

I’m just older than 12, I guess.

A 7 seed is a huge letdown from where they started the year. There was talk of them as a four seed three weeks ago.

Also, there’s little likelihood of them getting to the tournament next year. So you’re saying you’re fine with being a 7-seed every three or four years?

I’m not talking about next year, because also I do not like Martin, strictly talking this year. And iirc practically no one on this board thought this team would make it to March.

Oh boy, oh boy!! They're 8-8 in the conference!

A thrilling season for the old Mizzou squad.

this is the most experienced team in the SEC and like top 7 in the country. It should have been capable of a top4 sec finish regardless of what experts said. Everyone knows college experience matters a lot.

I think it's pretty clear Martin does not care about this season, and thus neither does the team. Which is remarkable as this would have been the season to make a run. My guess is the team tanks next year, and CM moves on.

Well, on the bright side, we have the women's BB team and the baseball squad to place our hopes on...oh, wait.

Thank gawd for Spring football. And Recruiting has been fun to watch.

I've never said this before. Hell, I've never thought this before.

Yesterday wasn’t a bad loss. LSU is a tourney team and the game was tied with a minute to play. Coin flip type game. Problem being Cuonzo seems to lose those games. Senior laiden teams should be pulling out more of these than losing them. Tillmon disappearing in his last home game ever. Mark Smith has completely regressed and really not done much all year. I’d have liked to have seen Watson cut into his minutes a long time ago. This team can win a game or even two in the tourney, they can be bounced very quickly too. One thing I will say is they certainly don’t instill confidence in making any type of real run. With the experience they have that is disappointing. If your not going to recruit at a high level then college Bball is about taking advantage of windows in your up years. He still has a chance to end the year on a good note, but seems a bit doubtful.

You’re right. Yesterday wasn’t a bad loss.

Losing twice to Ole Miss was bad. Losing to Miss St was bad. Losing to Georgia was bad.

Yes. Half of our losses are bad losses. If you’re just trying to be a contrarian - tip of the hat.

If you’re not, you’re legitimately stupid.

Mizzou 2019-20

W L
15-16 7-11 (SEC)

2020-21
W L
15-8 8-8 (SEC)

Mizzou beat the Illini and they have lost 2 games less than Mizzou and they are the 4th ranked team in the country. As a matter of fact Mizzou has had trouble with the 2 Mississippi teams since they have been in the SEC no matter the coach.
