Our team knows what happened and it will continue the momentum more than what a regular loss, if that's what you'd call it, would. I didn't see a regression in this team so I find that very encouraging.

Just my .02

I expect us to come out angry against Ole Miss. From the looks of them right now we will need to if we wanna win.

Ole miss is interesting, but I think they will have a poor showing. Doesn't mean we will win though, similar thoughts before we played state.

We are competitive. We never were under Morris. Big step forward. Still, a L is an L. Hopefully we will continue to get better, and get the W's.

Yep. The average score versus Auburn the last four years was 48-9. It’s extremely impressive that Pittman had us one epically blown call away from winning in year 1. We just have to keep building on that.

Sam Pittman, in three short games, has already improved us to the point where it now requires SEC refs to start screwing us again for us to lose games rather than the other teams beating us by 50 points.

The progress we’ve seen from the last 5 years is shocking

Easy dude. We were beating top 10 LSU, TCU, UF and Ole miss regularly.

It's fair to say 3 but 2016 wasn't terrible.

And last night effing hurt. I fricking hate losing to Chad and Gus. frick those guys.

Hate it for our guys, even though we made some ridiculous mistakes, they deserved to win.

I'm still not that upset about this loss because of that. Last night I was like "OMG the refs are gonna screw us out of this game!...... wait........... we are good enough again for the refs to screw us out of a game! YEEESSSSSSS!!

We will. The Ole Miss game has always been heated. I have this game as one of my wins before the season. This is one game I can't stand to lose. I hate them more than any other SEC team.

The 2016 year was going just fine until the Missouri and Virginia Tech loses. That is when the collapse really began. No excuse losing those games after double digit leads. Bert would be 9-4 and 4-4 in the SEC. He probably would have survived the next year.

Then Jeff Long made some comment on Twitter that integrity was more important than wins and I gave up my tickets because if the school didn't care a bout winning and just wanted my money then they would no longer get anymore free money. Bert should have been fired. But Long was such a coward.

Bert was lazy and didn't have a care for this school here. It was merely a business but because he didn't try hard enough, he got fired. Sam is the opposite and the first coach since Ken Hatfield that actually cares a bout the University of Arkansas. It is effort and perseverance that are lost concepts in football today but Sam is teaching this guys the old school way of football.

I think this team would beat the 2016 team because they displayed poor effort just like the Auburn disaster. That team was fragile like Bert and Sam would pull a victory.
