DL gets the most rotation. WR1, ILB, and CB1 getting among the least along with, obviously, QB. Not uncommon for a deep team to rotate RB, various OL spots, OLB, and their safeties

We rotate DL. But not equal reps.
It would be assinine to rotate an NFL first rounder for a freshman who is talented.

We rotate OLB a lot. RB too. Still not equal reps.

I think you are overstating the usage of 2 deep. Our safeties never got subbed (qb of the defense). They got rotated when the game was in hand.
Our CBs only got pulled after mistakes/injuries.
Our linemen got pulled after mistakes/injuries.

I think it is lazy thinking to blanket statement that the top two depth lines got equal reps.

If your 2-deep on DL was a JR or SR, followed by a Fr, then you weren't really all that deep.

Must've been a soft arse defense.

Yall needed a freak perfect bounce to get 17 points in one half. Contrast that to what y'all did to Bama and OU to start the games out.

Well Bama and OU were missing some starters on defense so yeah...Georgia fans laughed at LSU fans when we said LSU could put up 40 on Georgia which LSU couldve done had they not coasted most of the 4th.

Ehhh...

I'd posit that 2002-2004, where UGA lost 6 games, is right up there with Kirby's 3 years with 7 losses.

2017 was a better team than 2002.
2018 was a better team than 2003.
2019 was a better team than 2004.

In fact, the YPG differentials in each season of 2017-19 were all better than any single Richt differential. This was while shutting things down much earlier than Richt did due to early massive leads.

Starters are considered as being on the two deep.

Explain this. There are 44 on a 2 deep, but only 22 starters for a game.

I never did. I thought y'all would have put the game way out of reach in the 1st half. Didn't happen due in large part because of our D. Only 2 TD drives.

Had Fromm not sucked complete arse, and the O injuries not racked up, the game is likely much closer.

Both Saban and Orgeron won a championship in their third seasons.

Saban won in his 10th or 11th season as a head coach. O had 7 or 8 under his belt before his first chip.

Kirby has damn well for any coach but exceptionally well for a guy 4 years into coaching.

We've been over this earlier in the topic.

Ok, but if we can repeat this topic a million times, I can repeat a point within a thread once.

. . .or twice.

I just want to make sure you understood my point. It's that we should understand Kirby hasn't been a head coach for that long. He's doing quite well compared to other top tier coaches at this point in their careers. Just look at Saban and O in their first 4 years as head coaches if you need an example.

You're comparing Michigan State and Ole Miss to coaching at Georgia?

That said, Smart inherited a team that had gone 19-6 in their last two seasons under Richt. He lost nearly that many games in his inaugural season.

I can’t believe you are using the 2015 10-3 uga team as an example to support this silly point. That team was trash

Thought the term 2 deep was pretty self-explanatory.

2 deep depth chart - first and second string. Starting 11 and their primary backups.

Hence, starters are part of the two deep.
