He implies that the west is harder when we play 3 of the top 4 teams in the west. And simultaneously, LSU loses to common opponents all of the time.

Georgia has been an underachiever relative to talent level and resources almost my entire adult life.
Interacting with Georgia fans at my tailgate in 2018 (I lived in Atlanta for 20 years) reinforced my impression... Georiga has more 5 stars in their two deep than anyone. Better than LSU at most every position.. Kirby far superior to the running joke Orgeron. Burrow is a kind of OK game manager. Pretty much like being at an Alabama tailgate. Result 36 to 16.
Maybe Georgia takes it to another level with a new OC. The head coach has to buy in and lead.. let the OC do what they know they can do.
When the UGA posters have to go back to Troy in 2017. Pretty much the rock bottom of exposing the Les Miles roster problem and lack of a QB. Apparently Oregeron was able to figure out how to change and make a difference. We shall see if Kirby can
Georgia recruiting spend is more than twice LSU. And Georgia sits in the middle of a much larger talent pool than LSU. Georgia has far higher overall $$ resources than LSU as well

That's because they have been freshmen.
We lose 3 five stars off of last years team and signed 4 more.
That is 12 five stars who are moving their way to upperclassmen.
The next time you post about 5 stars, they will be starters and not on 2 deep.

Kirby's first full recruiting class are rising seniors. For some reason everyone expects a top recruiting class to translate in to a championship immediately, but that just isn't reality.
Also, Newman is a good player. With an improved scheme and the squad that's coming back, he doesn't need to be a an All-American for UGA to be the best team in the SEC.

Only one team scored more than 17 points in regulation against them. LSU.
The rub has always been that the O has underachieved, but the D was lights out this past year. I guess that is the reason there is a new O coordinator this year.

That isn't the class that should get the publicity.
It is the class of 2018 (rising juniors). That was the #1 class in the country. And they are no longer underclassmen.
We have 5 five stars that enrolled in 2018 who could be starting in the fall.
I'm guessing here, but there will be 5 five stars from the 2019 class who will be starters.

At Ole Miss. An Ole Miss team that only succeeded in following years by cheating their asses off. Cheating at a level that the NCAA themselves were like, "Man, you made me get up off my sofa."
Not sure that compares to anything Kirby inherited at UGA. Kirby went from DC at Alabama to HC at UGA. He has had an embarrassment of riches.

The only good senior on Smarts first team was Maurice Smith (brought over from Alabama).
What other seniors were there? Greyson Lambert who lost his starting job at Virginia and couldnt beat out a true freshman at UGA in 2016 that was recruited by Richt.
Smart transformed an offensive line from 285 pounds per player to over 310 pounds in his second season.

This is Smarts first head coaching job. Saban and Coach O had prior first head coaching jobs.
