Which one was a bigger shock? Laremy drug mask or La'el ex girlfriend murder questioning?
Which player ended up being the better pickup late in the draft/not being drafted

La’el got absolutely screwed and the Cowboys got a 1st rounder for free.

Tunsil still went top 15.

Tunsil wasn’t drafted late, just lower, still was a top 15 pick. Collins went from top 20ish to undrafted for doing nothing more than knowing a girl who got murdered.

La’ell is one of the more underrated lineman in the league. He’s an elite RT, that would probably play LT for about 75% of NFL teams.

I knew the dude didn't kill his GF and was pissed as hell that the Falcons didn't draft him in the 5th or 6th round

Neither. It's the story about "Throatzilla."

I do t consider being a top 15 pick “late in the draft.”

Tunsil will also be the highest paid LT making more than 18.5 per year (already turned that down).

Collins was screwed at draft time and is a good player but he’s not on Tunsil’s level.

Collins was completely screwed over, Tunsil just slipped a few picks

La'el got screwed out of a lot of money.
The Tunsil debacle ended up getting Freeze fired. Before the Tunsil thing, the NCAA had finished their investigation and were going to let us off with a slap on the hand. After draft night they reopened the case and even though they didn't find anything on Tunsil, they found a bunch of little shite and made a few of those violations level 1 during the investigation.

I have to think that Goodell put the word out to all teams at that point.

Salary wise, La’el actually is making out better than Tunsil. He signed a 2 year UDFA initially with the Cowboys so didn’t have to go through the five year option bullshyt.

Where Collins suffered was the signing bonus, which is the only guaranteed $$ in the NFL.

Collins actually benefitted from signing as free agent to get to that extension quicker
And if paid off
I seem to remember his agent telling teams not to pick him late in the draft for that reason

You remember correctly.

His agent wanted him signing UDFA on his own terms. They would have refused any late draft picks.

That’s exactly what I said. Thanks for reiterating and agreeing with me.

I'd go with Collins on both... Tunsil's issues were almost forgotten until draft night, he still goes in the first, and has been decent thus far.

Collins' accusations were a lot more sever than Tunsil's

La’el would have been drafted at #9 overall to the Giants instead of Flowers. He went undrafed.

Tunsil fell about 10 spots.

Collins lost more money but the Tunsil incident led to Freeze being fired and the end of Ole Miss’s short-lived glory years

There were never any accusations against Collins. He was only questioned, and somebody thought it would be funny to leak that.
