Only if our defense improves a lot and we go back to not throwing pick 6s.

We've been close every year. Every year. No team can say that. It all boils down to a few plays here and there.
Plus, if we ever can go through a season without a plethora of key injuries.

This killed us in ‘16, ‘18, and ‘19. Without the injuries we would have 1-3 more championships.

Maybe. If Harris comes back, Bama should have one hell of a rushing attack. Harris, Sanders, B-Rob, K-Rob and that OL will be nasty.
With Smith and Waddle, Bama has the dynamic down field threat. Mac should be better next year and Young is a wildcard.
Waddle on ST, is a threat to take it to the house on any play.
Just need that defense to step up and get the injury bug to screw off and Bama has a chance.

Not only close, outside of ‘07 & ‘13, we’ve either won the title or the team that won it had to beat us. The road to the title has gone through Bama. Hopefully that continues.

Watching our football team put all their cards on the offensive side of the ball has been revealing. Bama was scoring points like a video game. And after 2 seasons, I'm emotionally exhausted and want to see some change.
It's "Back to the Future" for me. I don't want to see us run the ball better in the red zone anymore. I want to start running the ball like Bama of old regardless of field position. I want to start holding our defense accountable for the "field position" game once again.
Look, Alabama has never played the inept offensive football I have watched with Kirby Smarts bunch in Athens. In fact, I have no idea what he's coaching over there. But Bama knows the blueprint better than most and what we've watched for the last 2 seasons is enough for my lifetime.
I think coach Saban better find some schemes and coaches that properly allows him to stamp his "personality" back on this team. Coach, somewhere we lost you.

If you think that that kind of offense would've kept up with 2019 LSU, then you are high.
and we ran all over LSU and AU(the two teams that we lost to) pretty much all over the field.

were you not referring to a ground and pound, old school offense?

You do know that it's altogether OK if we allow our running backs to be mismatches too, right? And no one was keeping up with this year's LSU. They got us a few times back when we were "running the ball." Every year is not your year.
What we have enjoyed and has always made us better than most is coach Saban's fingerprint on this team. His "personality" has always been the glue. When the boat springs a leak it has never taken him long to get everyone pumping. Our defense looked as bad at the end of the season as the beginning. We've lost our physicality as a team, fundamentals, and execution.
Even in this space-age warfare, there's is nothing wrong with making their azz quit. We lost the blueprint, the scheme, the coaches, to get it done.
