Apparently Grant Lebby, the coordinator at UCF will be Ole Miss's new OC. That's probably a sneaky great hire. UCFs offense is an efficacy machine.

That means Briles is technically on the market. I also read a report that he's right now "pondering" where to go now.

I'm sure Norvell may try to keep him, but FSU has no money.

Rich Rod it seems is also now looking for a job after Lane kicked him to the curb.

Pittman told the team tonight that he's gotten over 100 text messages from coaches he knows wanting to come to Arkansas and he plans to respond to all of them tonight.

He also said the team will be lifting tomorrow. No bullshite slogans and no talk of whminning the sec or hammer down... Just told them that it's time to get mentally tough and gritty and strong as hell.

Isn’t Rich Rod’s offense basically run-heavy/RPO spread? Seems like a pretty good compromise if Pittman wants to keep the smashmouth philosophy without going completely old school pro style.

I’d have to think that Briles will be in the running for the FAU job.

Perhaps, but I think kiffin was making around $1.5 million as the HC there. He could make more Than that as the OC at Arkansas.

Amazingly, I'd also go after Derek Dooley if you couldn't get Briles. He's actually a really really good OC. He also runs kind of a pro-spread mixture similar to what LSU does from his NFL days. Dooley also knows the SEC.

As for a DC, its not a big name, but I'd go after the guy at UAB. I think his name is Reeves. He probably makes squat there and he just presided over the #2 scoring efficiancy defense in the country. #1 was Georgia...

Rich Rod and Odom would be good with me.

Uh what about this cringeworthy "YESSSIRR" thing.

God I hope that dies really quickly.

I would definitely be fine with Rich Rod, their offense improved DRAMATICALLY in his time at Ole Miss. Personally I think they pulled the trigger a little fast on their HC and staff but that is what it is. It often happens to guys who get the job by having interim removed from their title... Always a "what if" to satiate.
