Huh? VT played FSU for the nat'l title in the Sugar Bowl in 2000. That's a NY6 Bowl...

Who cares. I can tell you right know if the SEC would allow Alabama not to go to a bowl they would. The University is going to end up buying most of the tickets and giving them away or a steep discount. They could care less about anything other than the CFP. All the other bowls are just programming for ESPN. Other than the top 6 most Schools loose money going to them. The NCAA and conferences get their cut and the schools get the shaft.

With the CFP and the increase in the number of bowls they no longer mean anything. You used to have to be good to go and now a 6-6 team gets an invite. Whoooooopee!!!

If you want to be next to Bama you are going to have to kick A&M out of the bed first.

Thats not a NY6 Bowl. Thats a BCS Bowl.

The NY6 debuted in 2014.

BCS was from 1998-2013
