OT .... I had something very strange happen to me today

I had a very strange “Matrix” moment recently I wanted to share because frankly I’d like your take on it. . File in the weirdness category.

Coming back from our family vacation several weeks ago, I took a back route that I’ve taken many of times to avoid traffic. There’s a left hand turn that I’m supposed to make at a gas station that is pretty obvious and I missed it because I wasn’t paying attention. I immediately told my wife I missed the turn, but she looked and noted I was still on the right highway. It was very odd as I KNEW I was supposed to make that turn but sure enough...we were on the right road and ended up where we were supposed to be. We talked about if for a while and I eventually determined I must have mistaken that turn for another route...as I spend a lot of time on the road. It was really strange but I eventually forgot about the whole thing.

Today...coming back from a meeting I took the exact same route and purposely didn’t make that turn remembering the last trip back. Turns out I WAS supposed to turn and had to turn around and go back. I immediately called my wife who remembered our conversation and she didn’t believe me...but for whatever reason during our earlier trip back we missed that turn but ended up on the same road. My wife remembers the same thing. She has no explanation.

If I was by myself I would’ve dismissed this but my wife and I both talked about it and remembered the earlier trip back. Are we living in the Matrix? WTH?

BTW...I was cold sober both times.
