I saw where he declared for the draft today.

I know he is a big loss for the hogs but what are his actual NBA chances?

Does his game translate to the NBA well?

The floors will never be slippery while he's around.

Scouts seem to think his game will translate well.
I don't watch the NBA so I have no clue.

And he is skipping the NIT too. Pulling a Greedy Williams but I can kinda understand Greedy since chances of getting hurt in football is much greater. But basketball? What is his reason for abandoning his team and skipping the NIT?

I think he'll do great. If Nolan had players like Gafford and Portis, he would have won more championships, but players like those two were more elusive back then. Marcus Camby and Robert Horry were similar players in that era.

He has NBA potential but he hasn't advanced much at Arkansas. He could be an absolute steal and develop into a very good player... or he could hang around for a while and be done with the NBA.

I don't think he was going to get any better coming back next year with the current coaching staff. Playing in the NIT doesn't really help him either and its not like the game is that important for Arkansas win or lose.

Go on, take the money, and run.

Seems like he could be an Al Horford?

Think he would need to develop an outside shot to be successful

All the mock draft sites say he’s a first rounder

I imagine it’s because he doesn’t want to risk getting hurt in the class B tournament.

He'll be a solid player. Think Capela.

I don’t think it’s a big deal to skip the NIT at all. It’s a smart move and protects you and your body from a meaningless game.

I did not blame Carlton Smith from skipping a dumb music city bowl last year.

Thanks arksulli and redeye.
He looked to be a guy with NBA skills the two times I saw him play.

Probably a rotational guy off the bench in the NBA.

Probably a mid-late 1st rounder and rotation guy in NBA. Good piece on a playoff team to come off the bench basically. Not having a shot is the biggest drawback to him, he plays old school which is not really today's NBA but there's a place for a guy who like to dominate around the rim still. If someone like Boston picked him up, that'd be good for him.

I'll be interested to see what his vertical is. He should be able to crush the combine and that might raise his stock a few notches.

He hasn't been playing basketball for that long so he's still not a finished product. Got by on athleticism for the most part.
