Mack is not a liability on defense. This is utter nonsense. He has been liability as a MLB.He needs another year or two to master that position,so he may never get that chance.
But he can play the other LB positions with rare skill. He will not be a 'Mike' in the pros but can certainly thrive in other LB slots. He is a big hitter,fast and very good in pass coverage.Thats why several mocks have him as a first rounder.
So let's stop this non-stop bashing of a terrific player and Bama man.

He had an off year. The pressure of trying to call defenses appeared to have taken away his comfort level with the defense.
Had several bad whiffs this year at critical times trying to lay a hard hit when all he had to do was tackle the guy in space.
