The Patriots are one of, if not the greatest NFL dynasties of all time. They also have tied the record for most Super Bowl losses. They've been embarrassed in the playoffs, they've lost in spectacular fashion; but they always come back and they're always contenders.

Ronda Rousey was the queen of MMA, embarrassing people left and right, finishing fights in less than 20 seconds. Then she ran into Holly Holm in Australia and ate a head kick that knocked her out. She came back for one more fight, looked even worse, and now she's "fighting" in the WWE...

Which one is Alabama gonna be? Man, I hope it's the Patriots.

Is this even a question? Bama has been on this run for 11 seasons.

One loss doesn't stop it, even a 28 point loss.

Who is Alabama? Well, they are Alabama. Yes, they are "that" Alabama.

Bama's never lost under Saban like this.

I dunno about everyone else but this feels different from losing on a last-second play, or even in the Sugar Bowl when the team wasn't into the game like they should have been.

You HOPE? Alabama has won 5 titles in a decade, we're already the Patriots. A team that has won (and lost) many Super Bowl.

Getting our teeth kicked in is a good reminder than nobody is unbeatable, not us, not the Patriots. If you make horrible mistakes and allow your opponents to make big plays, you're going to lose against a talented opponent.

Gotta admit, thread title made me laugh.

But it’s sort of appropriate.

The final score was worse than the actual product on the field.

We blew 3 easy TD opportunities in the second half.

More often than not this was a 7-14 type defeat which obviously sucks but isn't his 'oh noes!' shite

sometimes you play bad and get beat down, that's sports at the highest levels and Clemson is a high level opponent at present.

Because it's never happened before. Of course it feels different. That's just your pride fricking with you. Doesnt mean that it's going to start being a trend. This is Saban we are talking about. We aren't going anywhere.

Why do people even think this is a legitimate question? Bama has played in 4 straight title games and won 2.

The team should be even better next year.

I don’t see a team they play in the regular season beating them, and I don’t see them losing to UGA or UF in the SECCG.

The advantage Clemson had with ND in the Cotton Bowl is being over looked. Not saying that’s why we lost but that was a hell of an advantage.

I will also add that I feel better about next season than I did after any of our other season ending losses, and it's not even really close.

I tell you, no one can say that we Bama fans do anything half assed. When we are winning we give it everything we got and when we melt we melt hard. #onegame #14-1

Yes. Clemson basically had an entire month to prepare for Bama. Bama couldn't do that because OU was such a tricky team to play in the semifinal.

Alabama has national championships in the 20s, 30s, 60s, 70s, 90s, 00s, and 10s.

They are likely the best football program of all time, and with Saban run on top of prior success it's getting to where that is hardly even debatable.

As far as programs go the better question would be can the Patriots become Alabama.

It was a bad loss but some of you need some perspective.
