Assuming we win enough to make a bowl we're most likely looking at 6/7 wins at best to finish out the year unless we pull an upset over A&M. Uga. or Bammer. which I don't see happening. and depending on the opponent we probably lose the bowl game.

I shudder to ask this but what does Gus do about the QB situation if Stidham bolts for the NFL like most are expecting?

does he go out at the last minute and try to land a Nick Marshall/Newton type Juco QB? does he land Kelly Bryant? or does he just say frick it and roll the dice on Willis. Nix. or Gatewood?

I can say it will be best for the future of Auburn if Stidham will go...I can't imagine he'll have much of a shot in the NFL.

I know we will try to get a QB, but it wouldn't be the end of the world to just start playing the kids we got. I could careless if they look bad in practice. Stidham looks bad in games...what's worse?

I'm riding for Cord Sandberg

Willis doesn't look like the answer, who knows what Gatewood will look like, and Nix can't even complete 50% in HS this season. Sandberg is already matured, and his talent level and skill set remind me of Jake Coker.

I’m with you. Really hoping to see Cord and Gatewood play in their allotted games while mainting redshirts. I’m still holding out hope Gatewood can improve enough as a passer to be an option. Love his athleticism.

Gus will go 7-5, lose the bowl game. Fire Chip, promise the play calling and offense to a new OC, then proceed to screw it up in 2019. In December 2020 he will be fired. Enjoy the next 2.5 years.

if we get a new OC before next year, a REAL OC, that will be enough to keep my happy for the time being.

Especially wen Willis is quite familiar with the shotun snap, and I don't ever remember KMartin taking that kind of snap.

Or why not Boobie?

I really don’t know why people are sleeping on him. He is way more upside than Willis. People say “we need a DT QB to be successful.” Well Cord was a 4* DT QB and one of the top in the southeast. He had an offer from Auburn and many others.

Just because he is white does not mean he can’t run a little.
