Fellow Family Members,

I was trying to kill some time tonight and found myself perusing the Poli board. I have to say, ‘‘twas a legit WTF moment. I know the board has always been a bit nutty, but it seems like it’s become a magnet for loons and terrible human beings.

As a couple of fambeluh members here can attest, I would label myself as relatively politically plugged in and astute. Keeping that in mind, i find those people nutty as frick. I would go as far as saying that Trump broke them and that board. It’s the damndest thing I’ve seen because it’s a whole different kind of broke, meaning not like the Rosie O’Donnell kind.

Any regs on here want to chime in?

Trump broke this country and it was needed. People have lost their minds and I will even go as far as to say they have lost all sense of reason. '

I have told my wife 1000 times. It has nothing to do with reason, politics or Trump himself. It has everything to do with Losing. People do not like to lose and that election had people plugged in more than any other we have faced in the past 20 years.

People lost that can not handle losing. It was the tipping point for them. Unfortunately, they did not learn a thing from it.

I think if you visit some left-leaning sites (Democratic Underground, Reddit's /r/politics), you'll see the same level of extremist nuttiness that you see on the Poli Board. It's a reflection of how polarized and galvanized our country has become. I think it started in the late 90s with the character assassination of Bill Clinton when he was busted screwing Monica Lewinsky and was put into overcharge mode after 9/11 with the 24/7 news networks. The Internet gave everyone a voice, and because most people are lacking in critical thinking skills and lacking in the ability to participate in civilized discourse, we're seeing politics turn into a contest of who can prove the other side the most wrong.

He's also (hopefully) broken more than one (maybe 3) political parties in dire need of breaking.

Its a beautiful thing, watching the self-appointed "elites" going bat-shite crazy.

Which result, of course, is only going to give them more Trump.

Visited that board once. Read a single thread and noped the frick outta there

It's same reason I don't read /r/politics either on Reddit. Just a bunch of sheep regurgitating shitty talking points from their side and wishing death on the other

And yes I can see the irony when it comes to me and recruiting

I read it for entertainment. I shouldn’t find joy in it, but I do.

Love the Poli Board and post there often. It’s a good place to keep up with the latest headlines and some obscure news topics as well.

I thought ate Obama election did a lot to expose the media slant and people’s irrational commitment to R vs D. Then, we elected Trump. Wow. Whether you like him or not, his election should have opened your eyes to what’s wrong with our political system and news outlets.

Yea this was my first and last time visiting that place. Its like someone created an Iron bowl board where 98% of the posters are bama fans.
