A&M has been saying this since essentially the dawn of time. They just lost out on a huge opportunity to make great strides with Texas being down so badly. Right now it looks like A&M's stock is going down and Texas's is going up big time. A&M needs to hit a homerun when they eventually run off Sumlin.

They left out Oklahoma and left Missouri in there.

Texas will be back sooner or later and A&M is a much worse job than some pretend.

I'd take LSU over UGA.. A&M to SEC made stability and financial sense, but I don't think it offers any advantages on the field. Now they compete with more big fish in recruiting. 2012> was the perfect storm & oppty to see what they could do to break thru.. it'll likely never get better and nothing came of it.

Arky>Mizzou as well. The bottom four appear to be cemented in.

The thread is clearly about football, not baseball.

As for when Saban goes, I'd note that Alabama was winning championships with Wallace Wade, Frank Thomas, Paul Bryant, and Gene Stallings before him. Heck, even Bill Curry and Mike DuBose won SEC titles.

Can some of you other guys understand, now, why I said "excluding Alabama"? It wasn't only to not make it a homer thread, but you're also going to have guys like this fellow, that just wants to argue.

If population growth continues to trend at the same rate it has for the past 25 years ... South Carolina (the state) will be nearing or at the ten million range 25 years from now or roughly 2.2 Xs the population we have today.

You give us that kind of talent base to draw from, along with the level of coaching and fan support we have on a HS level in this state, and you'll have a hard time convincing anyone that SC will be 10th in this league football-wise.

We'll be a member of the $120 million club this year, one of ten programs in the country. 25 years from now it'll be double that.

No way in hell we'll be that low on the totem pole and absolutely no way in hell will we be below Mizzou.

Admittedly the SEC is a tough ladder to climb but both Tennessee and A&M have to hire good coaches in order for them to retain or climb that list .... because SC is definitely ahead of Tennessee, right now, over the past ten years.

Arkansas also has a tough row to hoe in the West.

SC will compete favorably against UF and UGA, in the East, over the course of the next 25 years ... as we have for the past ten.
