When did Bama lose its running game? Was it when Tua came in and now we are finally seeing the final product of abandoning a power running game with a powerful defense?

Bama now has a weak running game and a weak defense... They averaged 3.0 YPC against Ole Miss (who has a gaping vag for a defense)

Auburn - 6.3 YPC
LSU - 5.3 YPC
Tex A&M - 4.9 YPC

Kentucky - 2.9 YPC
Vandy - 3.0 YPC
Bama - 3.0 YPC

Bama has turned into Kentucky/Vandy

Oh Stop it. Saban already talked about that. This year offense is more tailored to Bryce's throwing... Should've been more adjusting by coaches to include running game.. and guess what? We ran ball in Ole miss.. WE finally got going in 3rd quarter.

BTW You can't just single out #... The Team is averaging 5.6 YPC for the season.

Yup averaged a whopping 3 yards per rush attempt

BTW you shouldn't count stats against teams like Utah St and UL monroe...

the point of this thread is to show how bad Ole Miss' run defense is and how Bama could not take advantage of that like other good SEC teams

I felt like Bama turned a corner with the power game against OM ( then BoB goes 3 passes and..3/out but I am hoping that it sort of ...and I hate to say it...woke up some or adjusted mindset that " oh yeah we can do this ( both in the booth and in the huddle)

This is completely misleading. Something like 20% of our run plays got 0 or negative yards.

There is something to be said about becoming a pass first offense and how it impacts all other aspects of our game.

This just infuriates me though. How can any coaching staff 'tailor' the offense to a 195 lb qb and hope he lasts all season. If nothing else, Bama should recall key injuries of Tua, Jalen and others at key times of the season.

Having a strong running game should never be an option but the requirement.

Saban has talked about becoming more physical the last 2 springs, but it hasnt happened. We were much better when Najee Harris and that O line was here. At least the D line played a little more physical vs Ole Miss.

The 1st thing we do is call Penske Truck Rental for Bill. We can't get to the next phase until phase one is complete.

Not a shot at our rb's but, just take a look at our current running backs....do you see a running back that resembles anything close to the backs we have had in the past??? There's your answer!!

That's a shot. It doesn't make sense to why you would say that.

It’s not a shot…our current rb’s are decent but nowhere near the caliber of Henry, Scarborough, Lacy, Ingram, Harris , Richardson or even Yeldon!!

Except since the injury last month his throwing has been hampered and yet our OC fails to adjust.

In the end most feel/agree the OC and DC are not great but until Saban sees it nothing will change.

People keep saying this while Brian Robinson runs over the NFL weekly even after being shot this summer.

We have tremendous personnel. We have morons developing them, gameplanning and calling plays so they look mediocre to decent.

When Gibbs gets in the NFL maybe some will finally realize what we pissed away thus past season..

Yeah I don't know how anyone can look at our RBs and think that they aren't capable of dominating. The skillset among our 3 main guys is dynamic. Gibbs may not be a bruiser but he is physical enough and is extremely explosive. McClellan has gotten more physical as the year has gone on, and he has shown that he can be explosive as well. Williams is a solid 3 with physicality and quickness.

and to your point about Robinson, that dude is just an absolute DAWG. He was underrated by our fanbase.

He was underrated because people didn't understand (some still don't) how much coaches impact things.

Marrone pissed away 13-months of linemen development. Do you know how far that sets a program back??

Some still don't get why Milroe is still so bad after two-years, why Ty Simpson can't even be trusted with snaps and why Bryce looks the exact same as when we last employees Sarkisian.

These kids aren't being taught and developed and that is why we are in such a mess.
