People claim they want a coach that cares about players development as players and men. A coach who loves their school and is focused on doing things right. Give the man a shot. When he beats Bama you’ll have a choice to make, do the right thing.

No way. He deserves to be retained by the new staff though. He has that infectious personality.

While I thought his post game speech was real and great the power brokers I have met at Auburn probably arent down with his communication skills representing AU.

Everyone who watched understood everything he said. His communication skills are just fine.

Only if Ronnie Brown becomes his OC.

The next coach would be an absolute fool not to keep him on the staff. I think Caddy is making his case crystal clear to his value to AU.

Fot beating garbage arse a&m 13-10? I mean hes done decwnt but thats an 8+ million dollar a year job. Hiring someone because hes patched the team together on short notice seems short sighted.

So give him 2 million a year and see what happens. Players deserve better than hired mercenaries. He could be their Kirby Smart.

I think this is right.. but you really have to wonder if the power brokers ever played football a day in their life.

My guess is no..

Give Caddy the job and go hire the brightest young OC and DC.

I was thinking Dabo.

Dabo is not a great X and Os coach, but he can recruit and relate to players.

Except Kirby learned under Saban and Caddy has learned under Gus and Harsin.

He’s not ready and I am pretty sure he knows he is not ready. Regardless, Caddy will always be the epitome of an Auburn man.

He is parlaying this into a coaching gig somewhere. He is not going to settle for a staff position.

If Cadillac gets the job, Auburn will be looking for another coach in two years. Emotion only gets you so far.

Right or wrong there is no way that tptb @ AU will allow him to be the face of their program long term.

Possibly, but he if waxes Western Kentucky and plays Bama tough, he is going to make it very hard on the admins when they make a decision. He is easy to root for.
