I wanted Riley. He was #2 behind Aranda. My only issue with Kelly is his age, but the man wins and I'm happy to have him after never realizing he was an option.

I love how the retards believe LSU even offered Riley! It was his agent using LSU’s name to get him more money from USC.

Never wanted Riley. He does not have the "chest" for SEC play and he has said so. Worked to keep OU out of the SEC and failed so he skipped town. My personal choice was either Aranda or Napier but I think Kelly will bring needed stability and structure to our program.

So more information has been made available on Riley since most LSU fans wanted him that paint him in a universally bad light.

Is it your position that people should not assimilate new information into their opinions? That’s a pretty idiotic position if so.

are now backtracking
It's what every fanbase does after a new hire. At the end of the day you get behind your Administration and throw your support to the new Coach and his staff. Once the final decision is made you think to the future and hope for the best. It's like this with every coaching change and every fanbase.

I'm a rival fan but I've been smiling my arse off because Woodward made this hire and systematically punked the hell out of every "insider/source" while he took care of business.

I've always been on the Aranda train personally. I would have liked Riley because of his offense but had reservations about his defenses, Aranda just seemed like more of a "complete game" coach to me.

I had no earthly idea that Kelly was even on the table. Thought he'd retire at ND. Didn't even give him a thought because I thought he was untouchable. Once it became news that it was happening I was immediately on board.

He's baby soft in a baby soft conference. Hasn't won the big game, but he's been to the Championship several times. I would have given him a chance.

All of a sudden these fools, who also stated they would be upset if they hire was Kelley, are now backtracking how they never wanted Riley in the first place.

I don't know what posts you have been reading... there are a lot of folks who wanted Riley and many not happy with Kelly. And not necessarily the sam people either.

I would have been happy with Riley. I'm also happy with Kelly. I honestly think BK will have more success sooner at LSU than Riley would have.

We’re you not here for the baseball coaching search, this isn’t new for that fan base, once they hire their guy, he was always the first choice and only offer

We didn't even realize BK was on the table.
