You do realize this opens up his recruiting doors right? Notre Dame held him back from recruiting at his full potential because of their acceptance rates and still brought in top 15 classes. Not to mention he won more than Riley who also played an absolute joke of a schedule.

There is a good chance Freeman is Notre Dame's next coach. They love him. They like their OC coach as well.

i mean, he most likely will interview coordinators before hiring them, so hes an upgrade from O. O had no business being a head coach, kelly has been a head coach continually since 1991. Dont know how dynamic hes going to be, and hes fairly old. He loses big games. Ill give it a 6/10

He's a good coach.. I'd say it's a "B" hire.
Now if LSU could not only get ND' coach but ND's schedule as well..they may have an A hire..

Coaching wise, I think he’s a solid standup triple.

Great hire. You have to consider perspective, I can’t think of a better hook right now. For a program trying to get back to where they’ve been, while we’re all watching, just knowing they are going to face plant. Then they prove us wrong and bring back Les Miles.

I like kelly.. only worry would be age + never coaching in the south. But lsu could have done worse (rhule or BoB) but the sting would be nd hiring better (fickel)
