Well the slide started in the 2nd half of Ole Miss even though we won.
The A&M game seemed to shatter the psyche and confidence.
Not sure if the coaches have completely lost the team.
I sure hope not but this team can’t seem to fight through adversity worth a piss and that is actually quite common with first year coaching staffs due to the players being unsure of them. Only winning will build the trust. It’s a fine line.

Especially when you've lost 2 major parts of your scoring offense, Nix and Carlson.
The frustrating part is our 2nd half sluggishness on offense the last 4 games.

Losing the team is such an overused hot topic these days.
There’s only been 2 instances at AU in the last 15 years where the team completely gave up. 2008 and 2012.
I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a first year head coach ever lose a team.
In reality it’s very rare.

I’m willing to wait on the recruiting class to fill, but if we don’t get much talent in then this will be the punchline for a while. We just aren’t that talented. Year in, year out.

I will say that 4th and 1 mentality that started off so well, now feels like 4th and 31.

Harsin has to know championships are won and lost on signing day, so far not so good but I’m waiting to see what he can build in 3-4 years.

Hars will not be here.

Are you basing that on the hunch that he bails?
If he stays he will get to that 3rd year to see if he can recruit well enough to keep the program relevant.
If not after 3, then I could see him gone...

Ironically, we faced a team in USCe who has had more bad luck with injuries and they figured out a way to beat our a$$.

I think it’s more that Mason and Bobo lost the team but, since Harsin hired both then, yeah, I guess so.

We are in year one. Harsin doesn't have his culture ingrained 100%, he doesn't have his players, our starting QB,LB and kicker are injured and we installed an entirely new offense AND defense.
I realize things have fricking sucked since the TAMU game but we are in a rebuild, we all knew this before the season started. Year 2 is when we are going to see what kind of coach Harsin really is.

i just saw a comment from someone saying auburn has more recruits at this game before than we have ever had for an iron bowl. i have no idea if it is legit but i can hope. also we have to sign some of those guys as well. other auburn fans say we are recruiting just the potato boys are keeping recruiting close to the vest with little or no info. anyone hear this or believe it?

I have listened to some of his pressers this year. He seems to be bringing up that some of the kids on the team don't buy in to what needs to be done. So I am wondering if there will be a clear out kind of like happened before & after spring. I can't explain what happened in the games where we let down other than the kids seemed to have no sense of urgency or want to fight through things. Mental toughness seems to be missing in some. Just my thoughts.

We aren't that good but we are damn sure good enough, or should be anyway, to hold a 25 point home lead against Miss State and beat South Carolina.

Those games aren’t relevant since Gus is elsewhere. Find new shite bro. Trust me there is new shite out there.
