Georgia
despite being declared unconstitutional by US Supreme Court, they keep them jailed for over a year and lead to the Indian Removal Act (despite being clearly unconstitutional) and the expelling of the Cherokee tribe and trial of tears. if we are doing reparations we should start here, no body was screwed more than the Cherokee’s.
A belated “frick you” to Georgia for our Cherokee neighbors and blood brothers who help keep the Chickasaw and their allies from killing us all on the frontier, and got our good friend killed at the Alamo. Maybe that’s the source of the curse.
Georgia arrest peachers and screws Cherokees

As a student of history, it never cease to amaze me how much racism in this country is aided by the state. Even a Russian documentary on Blacks in Soviet Union mentioned this dynamic.

Yes, but it wasn't really the proselytization that was at issue. It was the fact that the missionaries were advocating for the Cherokee keeping their land. That was what made Georgia decide they didn't want the missionaries there.

They allied and fought with the British against us in the revolutionary War.
Jackson didn't take that lightly.

Guess it's in what you notice.
It is equally amazing how much government has aided and abetted eliminating or throttling racism during the colonies' and America's histories. Very few other nations in world history did the same.

They already gave them reparations in early the 1900s.

It was legal for a long time to kill Mormons in Missouri, so I'll go with that one. They seem to not like proselytizing.

"It was legal for a long time to kill Mormons in Missouri, so I'll go with that one. They seem to not like proselytizing."
It wasn't proseletyzing that got Missouri Executive Order 44 declared, but emerged from the legal ability to defend oneself against Mormon violence, murder and thievery. Hatred for Mormons who would take over towns, surrounding even judges' and sheriffs's homes and threaten them with violence unless they signed agreements, burning and driving out non-Mormons while stealing their land and property and stating that God intended for them to inherit the land owned by others created heavy anti-Mormon sentiment as they moved from county to county. The order gave authorization for the state militia to prevent further violence and prevent insurrection against the state, which Mormons were guilty of.

Racism isn't natural. It's the product of the powerful attempting to divide the populous in an effort to maintain or grow their power.
