Well played game today overall against Bama of all folks.

I see improvement every single game, and it is noticeable.

Never thought it would be this close today!

I hate moral victories... But between the refs and us doing this well. Surprised!

Briles does just enough head scratching stuff to make me think I wouldn't be too upset if the left.

Briles is a still a far better option than Dowell Loggains.

bro we just scored 28 offensive points on alabama and had over 450 maybe 500, yards of offense. We need to remember where we’ve been. He’s done a great job developing kJ as well.

Yes but when the defense actually gets a stop and gives the offense a chance to swing momentum, he calls a double reverse pass setting up a punting situation.

This is being critical, bit it is head scratching why he calls these plays when he does.

He does do some head scratching decisions I’m not denying that I’m just saying he’s still a good coach and we’re lucky to have him. You could also be critical of Odom who gave up over 600 yards of offense but I don’t want to see him gone

When you look at the stats, it says you don't have to stop bama on either side of the ball, you have to play with them.

OM and aggy have beaten them several times by playing with them, LSU beats them once every five years by stopping them.

Agreed. I think if it hadn’t taken the offense a quarter and a half to realize,” hey these guys aren’t superhuman, we can actually play with them.” Then we might have won this football game. But they just took too long to get going

Briles calls the game scared and I hate it. On the whole he isn't bad but situationally he's unbearable. Our clock management at the end of halves/games HAS to improve. It's unacceptably bad. Why the hell are we running between the tackles and cutting inside with less than 2 minutes left in a 2 possession game? We actively tried to stay in bounds that whole drive. It was like we were trying to burn clock.

his play calling at times is too predictable, and conservative. he isn't great at scheming up passing plays on obvious passing downs, BUT he has developed KJ into coming into next season will be discussed as the best outright, or arguably the best Qb in the sec and a hiesman candidate. all of this without a clear #2 WR. only just this or last week has Thompson (a kb guy who walked on because he believed in himself and KB btw) cemented himself as the #2. with a Chad Morris recruited line.

why does Odom get pass, after pass when defense was the reason we lost? the defense was the better side of the ball under Morris.

Predictable like a HRV’s mother in a biker bar.

It’s annoying. Everyone knows when a QB run is coming. He calls cute shite at the worst damn times and they rarely work.

He can frick up a drive just as quick as HRV as the pivot man in a circle jerk.

And Odom doesn’t get a pass from me. We were undermanned on defense when I played, but we rolled the dice. It worked more times than not. Odom doesn’t like rolling the dice hardly any. Would be a sucky wing man at the casino.

the same reason we ALWAYS run qb draw/power on 3rd and 5-7. KB runs shite hoping to catch people off guard. that shite works when you are going warp speed, and not catching false starts all the time. it doesn't work when you run it at the pace we do.

That 2 minute offense at the end of the game was an aberration imho. Seemed he was calling plays based on what bama was showing vs what the game clock dictated

His previous 2 minute offenses were all pretty solid

You could be on to something perhaps briles hasn’t figured how to tinker the offense for slowing down which is what Pittman asked him to do because the defense needed more breaks, so sometimes plays he’d run and trick people wife aren’t working.

Briles doesn’t seem to trust KJ. It makes no sense. We are through 10 games prior to today and the kid has 3 picks all season. He takes care of the ball.

Briles gets super conservative before the half with 2 minutes or less and super conservative at the end of games. Annoying as hell.

100% agree with you on this. The big pass down the seem doesn’t happen in the first half with him. There’s no confusion on the back end for most of the game.

The loss of Catalon was a huge blow to this defense.
