The Great Awakening-Mississippi State Edition

At first it was just one. Vecchio Cane.

He reappeared quietly, and only intermittently... but he is here. Lurking.

Then came Drebin. Like a gale force wind.

Then others joined them. Hardy-Har. cbi8 a/k/a Bismo Funyuns. Eric Nies Grind Time. MullenBoys. boot. deltaland.

They are re-emerging after the long, cold winter of "Sloppy" Joe Moorhead and the Pirate King Mike Leach having encountered a rocky start upon Candy Corn Shoals.

They have joined the likes of those hardy souls that have been here manning the ship through the rough storms: Hailstate15. starvingrad. Shamoan.

But Captain Leach has taken his team out upon the open ocean now and has demonstrated swashbuckling competency in his sea battles this year against the likes of Kentucky, Auburn and Texas A&M.

There are more out there. Watching. Waiting. I expect next week they will rise like a great sea monster from the Mississippi Sound to meet the demands of Egg Bowl week.

It is indeed happening. The Grind is back. And now it's a pirate ship.

And who is Captain Leach's first mate?
