Too busy scheming for next week.

Spoiler alert: rush 3, 20 yard cushions.

Mason is the opityme of 4th and 1 mentality.

Mason isn’t going anywhere.

Too bad we don't see many 4th a 1's under Mason. We sure do give up a along of 3rd and longs though. Not many turnovers either. If Harsin hasn't already been on the phone with Muschamp then I don't know what to say.

They converted 4th and 1 yesterday. Our CB gave the inside slot receiver at least a three yard cushion and only a quick throw was needed to get the first down.

And who told them to line up like that? When its 3rd and 10 and they are lined up 12 yards off the ball instead of around 8.. who told them to do that? Derek Mason is not an SEC level coach.

I see no lies there. We are just too soft.

Miss St punished our #36 all day long. He never was close to any of their WRs.

Mason’s D had been very good in the RZ and we did ok on 3rd downs but we allowed them chunk yards continually on 1st and 2nd.

I don't see Muschamp coming back to AU for a third stint. I would rather get someone who would work within the chain of command and not try to upstage everyone else. Give me a young DC who wants to BE a DC.

BTW, our offense lost us that game. 28-10 at half and we couldn't score but 7 points in 2 quarters.

I'd take Champ back as DC in a heart beat.

For most of the season I wanted to kick him in the nuts. The last several weeks the D had turned a corner..........I thought. Yesterday was the most pathetic scheming I have seen in a long time. I know he was trying to adjust, but a blind person could see sending three wasn't working. He just never tried to do anything about it. Mind boggling.

We looked like a bunch of tee-ball aged kids chasing after a baseball.

40-0.

Where is the excitement from the preseason that Mason is like a kid in a candy shop with all the tools he as to work with. The loss falls almost directly on his shoulders for not mixing coverages and not rotating players enough. Same 3 linemen and same DBs almost every play of the game. I think we maybe have brought an extra guy like 7 times and it was so easy to read every time.

How much of this is on Mason and how much is on DL and Secondary coaches? Don't the position coaches do rotations?

That’s where I am.

These players are not 1st year players.

Our front 7 and the DBs are all jr/sr 5th yr guys.

But time after time Rogers saw a 3 man front so he could just look for the open receiver.

Some times we rushed 4 and very late a little blitz but I never saw these guys show Rogers different looks along the LOS to make him think or guess where the pressure might come from.

You don’t complete 30 of 33 if you are playing press or multiple fronts.

I hope he has to be there for the weekly coordinator PC.
