Emotion and black uniforms beats discipline and composure

I hate UT and consider the school and fans a big pile of trash. Those unis are slick as frick though.

I am so happy the LSU does not mess with its traditional uniform. Some of these concepts are just really bad.

I am not a huge fan of alternates (I am very OUT on both versions of the smokey grays), but I have to say they did a good job with these. Only thing is that i'd prefer to wear them, at most, once per year, to keep it special.

I agree about the helmets, although i think adding the black outline makes it look a little better. I believe there were supposed to be matte black helmets to match but there were some COVID supply chain issues.

That helmet is strong

Schedule UGA for homecoming and then wear one of their colors for an alternate uniform? Not sure if the hillbillies REALLY have this amount of confidence or trying to make sure stadium is full and take advantage of some UGA black in the crowd. And black and orange sucks together except for Halloween.

Hoover has done multiple combinations like this, and the black helmets always look better, IMO.

I love the idea that alternate uniforms are some massive distraction to a team. In reality its probably like


Coaches: We're wearing black uniforms
Players: We like those
Coaches: We know. See you at practice

Vestavia’s former long-time (high school) coach used to do this thing during big games where his team would come out for warmups, then go in the locker room right before kickoff and come out “unexpectedly” with alternate jerseys.

The players and crowd would whip into a frenzy, and then after the opening kickoff they’d proceed to get their asses kicked anyway.

They may look cool, but they have basically no impact on anything after a few minutes.
