Let me get this straight? You want to know if bama beats UGA will they jump ahead of UGA in the polls? If that is your question, then Yes is the answer

Again, the countdown to Bamas relagation to their rightful throne of irrelevance is at 24 hours and counting! They will be exposed and drop below Ole Miss!

I knew I was missing something. If your nightmare does come true, then I would think bama would jump USC

Well I think its a statement game for both teams. I thought Clemson was for Bama but Clemson has sense proven to be subpar. We will see where both really are tomorrow. To the victor goes the spoils. Georgia hasnt looked overly impressive yet but impressiveness is just for style points. Georgia has a quality team and regardless of style should find a way to win. I hate to say it, but I think Bama is on the rise, its just a bit premature at the moment. Saban is a great coach and will get Bama back to being competitive, how competitive we will see. The media has really hyped them up so far. A win against Georgia will go a long way in proving the hype. I dont think Georgia will lose in Athens.

I guess nobody is interested in answering the question. He is asking if a Georgia loss will put them below USC in the polls. The answer is absolutely not.

Will USC be ranked ahead of UGA? Probably not. As quickly as much of the national media like to crown USC as the best, they are also pretty unforgiving when they lose. When they lost to Stanford last year they nearly dropped out of the top 10 (deservedly so), and never climbed back to the top.

In any case, it doesn't matter. LSU is in control of their destiny. We play Bama and UGA, so just win.

USC will drop out of the top ten for now. A georgia loss against a top ten opponent should not drop them below a team that lost to an unranked. That would seem pretty straight forward for the voters. They will however keep USC within striking distance because despite the loss the media still feels USC has enough talent to be the best in the country despite their shortcomings. I always say you judge a team by their accomplishments and not their potential. The media doesnt always agree with this.

WRONG. You do realize there were many media outlets trying to put USC in the Championship game last year instead of LSU. A Stanford loss should have dropped them out of the top 10. Thats an unexcusable loss for a top 10 team and is enough proof that you are not top 10 material.

I think you judge them by potential at least for the preaseason, but you don't continue to do so after they have actually played games. I don't understand how voters are so adamant about keeping teams as close to their original rankings as possible, instead of putting them in the correct order by accomplishment as soon as they begin to prove or disprove themselves.

I do realize that many media outlets tried to put them in the BCS Championship Game. But they didn't. So they never got back to the top. What don't you understand about that?
