My grandfather had milk cows on his small farm and I stayed with him often when I was young back in the 1950s.
He'd milk the cows very early and sit a pail of milk in the house and take a big metal container, I guess about 15 or so gallons, out front to the gravel road and the milk truck picked it up.
It was one way he made a little money.
That milk in that pail, two hours or so out of the cows teat, was SO good back then. Don't think I'd want milk like that in today's world though.
What ever wasn't drank with breakfast had the cream skimmed off and it was churned into butter by grandma sitting in the kitchen later. Tons of memories from them but, that's probably for another thread.
Never got suspended. Back then we got our asses torn up with paddles by teachers. If we did something really bad, had to go see Mr Clayton, huge man with a huge paddle. Baseball bat shaved down on both sides with holes drilled in it down the middle. I guess the holes cut down on air resistance.
Would rather get sent to see Mr Clayton than going home and telling my Dad I got suspended.
Does anyone get tickets through LSU?
I live near Greenville and bought tickets here last year for SEC and NCAA regionals but just wondered if season ticket holders get any through LSU.
If so, and you have extras, I'd be happy to work something out with you.
TIA.
Fat might be a proper description,,,, but she's only a biscuit or two away from it?
If you'd like more details/information, I can give you/him my email address.
I had C2 through T2 fused this year in April.
Four days in hospital and 5 days in Rehab hospital. I spent the time in the rehab hospital more for pain management than for any rehabilitation. It will be tough on him but not horrendous. Wearing the neck brace for 4 months through the summer was incredibly uncomfortable.
Make sure he goes to the best rehab facility possible, some are just like a nursing home. He needs one operated by a hospital.
Today, I have some areas still a little tight, and as expected, flexibility is more limited, but no pain at all.

re: How to stream the game

I thought it was going to be shown on ABC?
There will be an abundance of tickets outside/around the stadium on game day.
Back in 1998, when I was 45, I had c6 c7 fused. i was having muscle spasms in my chest, back, and right triceps nonstop day and night. Fusion completely stopped all pain and spasms,
Fast forward to April 2024, and I had fusion of c2 through t2. Not that it would be needed in a younger person, but the doctor also did laminectomies along with each fusion. Before the surgery, I saw the MRI picture and I couldn't believe how destroyed my neck was. Likely the result of a horrendous car wreck in 2002. I'm just about recovered, just a little minor feel of discomfort when i tilt my head back too far. Next and likely last appointment with Neurosurgeon is September 5th. Won't go into all the issues I was experiencing physically or emotionally but I am SO much better now.
Not saying this is the solution for everybody but for me, it's been magical. Very glad I did it.

Just wondering if there is any such thing as a brown eyed redhead? thinking back through, every redhead I've met had some bright eye color. Blue, green, etc.
Congratulations!! Hope you get to have that feeling again!
My three kids continue to make me happier and happier:
I'm down here visiting my second grandson, now 10 months old, older one is 3, and have my first granddaughter due in 3 months.
Yes!!! It's a very special day when they all arrive, indescribable moments...

Here's a fact I haven't seen mentioned.
Pete's first /freshman year, he played ncaa men's freshman basketball with LSUs men's freshman team. The teams record was something like 17 and 1 and Pete scored 741 points. I'm not sure why those points wouldn't count towards his total college career points.
The math wouldn't be that hard, it's getting past ignorance that's the hard part. Come on NCAA/media, etc.

re: Anyone get the shingles vax?

Posted by prontopo on 2/15/24 at 3:25 pm
I had shingles last February. Hurt like hell! I asked dr and pharmacy about the vax and both said wait two months and get the vaccine.
About two and a half months later I got the first shot on a Thursday and on Sunday I had the shingles again. Bad but not like the first case.im still going to get the second shot, even if it gives me a light case. I don't ever want them again.
My advice to anyone is get the vaccine.
