re: What we buying on this nice dip?
Posted by PinevilleTiger on 4/6/25 at 12:00 pm
My goal is to continue to buy SPYI until I get to $1 million which translates to dividend income of around $100,000 a year. Plowing more $$ in tomorrow. Great buying opportunity here.
re: Chase Individual Brokerage

I use Chase Brokerage almost exclusively. No fees for simple stock and etf trades, plus easy to transfer in and out of my Chase Checking account. I occasionally park money in the Chase Money Market fund, but I don’t do options or anything else other than stocks and fund trading. No issues here.

Soros 1 Louisiana 0. Sad that a socialist billionaire killed our chance to begin the elimination of State income tax.
re: Is amendment 2 a good or bad thing?
Posted by PinevilleTiger on 3/29/25 at 10:26 pm
This State will continue to be a third world country voting against reducing our income tax. Soros poured money in here to beat Amendments 2 so we can remain at the bottom. Thanks Orleans Parish, dumbasses.

I’m voting “Yes” on 2. It’s a good start to fixing this States backward arse anti-business bias in our tax structure.
re: If the U.S. Federal Reserve can just “print” money, why does the Government borrow money?
Posted by PinevilleTiger on 3/28/25 at 5:40 am
It’s called “money supply” and we literally took 2 weeks out of a semester to study it in one of my economics classes. The Fed’s primary purpose is to control the money supply to keep inflation at bay. You can’t just print your way to prosperity.

Good hunting property goes up every year here in Cenla. What was priced at $1,000 an acre 10 years ago is now $3,000 an acre. It all depends on quality of the hunting or fishing if that’s what you’re into.

Might be mainstream after Tuesdays earnings report. Probably move 20% one way or the other
China imposes 15% tariff start date 2-15. Will this affect the market?
Posted by PinevilleTiger on 2/3/25 at 11:21 pm
China has retaliated. Dow futures still look ok. What will the Chinese return fire do to the stock market by Friday?
re: Anyone willing to share the top picks from Seeking Alpha for 2025?! (PICKS INCLUDED NOW)
Posted by PinevilleTiger on 1/9/25 at 6:14 pm
Seeking Alpha needs to lower its subscription costs so threads like these are unnecessary. Ridiculous annual fee to read a bunch of articles from amateur stock analysts

Landry is a huge upgrade from JBE

Old Spice anything
re: What do you think Nuss has to do to take the next step?
Posted by PinevilleTiger on 12/12/24 at 10:09 am
Everything is great except he’s scared to get hit. Drop the fear and run when the opportunity presents itself. Burrow is a great passer, but it’s his willingness to run and take a hit that makes him great.
re: So where will LSU go bowling?
Posted by PinevilleTiger on 12/8/24 at 9:06 am
Gator Bowl would be the coolest and best matchup. I’m afraid we’re gonna get stuck in Houston.
What’s this BS on Facebook about Perkins in the portal?

Has to be a scam post?
re: Why did Louisiana, South, middle America vote Democrat in '92 and '96?
Posted by PinevilleTiger on 11/24/24 at 7:08 am
Clinton ran as a conservative “blue dog” democrat. By today’s standards, he’d be Republican. It was the era of John Breaux and Sam Nunn. Today’s Democratic Party is run by freaks and commies, huge difference between 1992 and 2024.
re: For anyone who thinks that LSU has anywhere close to as much money as other top schools
Posted by PinevilleTiger on 11/22/24 at 12:37 pm
Yet we have the highest paid underachieving coach in the Nation. We are not broke. We just put our money on the jockey and have none for the horses.
re: Is SMCI stock worth taking a risk now?
Posted by PinevilleTiger on 11/21/24 at 9:47 pm
It was at $118 in March. It can easily retake that level.
