Attendance at a University isn’t a pre-requisite for being a fan AT ALL. People who say this about LSU fans that didn’t go to LSU really need to reevaluate this position.

The New Orleans Saints don’t have a University yet many in the state are Saints Fans. You also don’t have to live in New Orleans to be a Saints Fan. In fact many people across the country are Saints fans and have never visited Louisiana.

Many LSU fans are kids and teens that grow up watching LSU or attending games in Tiger Stadium. They also don’t go to LSU. They are Still fans! In fact every single recruit that commits is a huge LSU fan and they haven’t enrolled in any classes.

Feel free to be a Fan of LSU whether you went there or not. Feel free to support them in any way you can! All
Are welcome in the Tiger Nation Family.

re: LSU Athletic Dept bleeding $

Does anyone realize or take into account how much money is indirectly generated by LSU athletics. What the athletic department spends vs what it takes in doesn’t matter. They’ll write it off as an expense.

Consider the effects on admission, enrollment, text book , fees. Etc.

Consider how much revenue is generated in sales for tourism, hotel accommodation, restaurant and grocery stores, Merchandise etc etc etc. trust me the state is perfectly ok with being over budget considering how much lsu sports help drive the economy.
At what point would you fire this coach if he was your newly hired coach? You all know who this is. This board needs to relax.

I'm not pro-O or anti-O. I will give the man a chance to show me what he can get done. First year for me is almost a pass (must have a winning record). Bad performance and you're immediately on the hot seat.
Yeah, hurting at RB. Don't own zeke.

I'm considering this as It seems Minnesotas offense has done better with AP out. It's not him, he's all world, but it seems they do different things when they can't just feature him. Teams don't load up the box, opens things up a bit. I like McKinnon over Asiata because well McKinnon is a nasty freak athlete with homer in potential, though it seems Asiata may be the goal line back.

I like Morris he's a good RB with a few 1000 yds seasons under his belt. Zeke isn't in the best shape and fumbled a few times. So the other option is to sit on Morris and hope he takes over the main role or if zeke gets injured
I keep hearing that LSU hasn't really played anyone yet. Despite playing #25 miss St....#18 Auburn...#8 Florida. Now I can see the argument against the first 2 teams however they were ranked at the time we played them. But no excuse can be made for Florida, they were a solid team. Now let's look at the top 3 teams according to coaches poll and 3 of top 4 in Ap polls.

Ohio St.
TCU
Baylor

All 3 have played a combined.....Zero ranked teams.

Utah has played 2 ranked teams and Michigan and won all 3. So I'll give them credit for now.

Now I know the polls only matter at the end and if we keep winning we are in, but it gets old hearing this crap when we have already played more ranked opponents than these other cats will play all year.

Randle had to catch passes from Jefferson/Lee. Neither of who helped him show his potential. But as for the way he acted, surely ur source on the matter is not his facial expressions because that guy had a stoned cold poker face. Actually his facial muscles may be paralyzed. Dupre has a much different scenario in front of him.
I agree Saban would help them but that dust hasn't settled yet. However we do know with more certainty Mack is on his way out.
With Mack on his way out would we look to snag any current Texas commit. I'm thinking DL or OL.

It's hard to Peg the "best WR ever" tag. I'd say I've never seen better hands than Landry. That includes Clayton and reed. However if I had to choose which all time great I'd like to have it would have to be Reed. He was just an incredible route runner with stick em hands. Difference is Landry is just more athletic.

Les Miles Time Management?

We give h the blame, can we give him some credit. 99 yards with 1 TO with a True freshman making his first serious drive?

Bump?
U do realize that students work in the football operations building and that some students act as guides on recruiting trips. They tend to get info off the cuff. Memphis may not but its easy to think that he knows someone or maybe is related to someone. Is it really that hard to imagine.
You guys act like no one gets upset in college football. I'm not happy with the result of this past weekend but it happens and wont be the last time. It's frustrating but I'm curious as to what other program besides Alabama you would aspire us to be. Name me another program that has had more success than us these last 5 yrs. it's a small small list. Look at some of the marquee programs that are struggling. USC, Texas, Florida.

I don't think ego and Johnson are ready, but that doesn't mean they won't leave early. As for improvement, I stand by my statement, but it likely won't be seen until the end of the year or next season.

Defense isn't Reloading its Rebuilding

Posted by tigerbill002 on 10/21/13 at 10:07 pm
Lets face it guys, this defense is either young or inexperienced or both. I hate that we keep hearing it, but it's true. Just watch the games. I think we are so used to reloading that we lose sight of the difficulty doing that.

You don't lose all those defensive starters, especially juniors and just reload. 3-4 juniors leaving, ok maybe so, but even that's difficult. Think about this....if no sophomores or juniors would have left early...this years defense would look like this....

DE- Sam and mingo
DT- brockers and Logan
Lb- minter/barrow/kwon?
CB- Matthieu/Mills?
S- Reid/Loston

This defense will get better but it will be too late when they do. I'm hoping we retain some juniors this go round but I can see ego and Johnson leaving early
I hate both Verne and Gary. I'm not sure of their angle but it seems to me over the years that they have a hard time complimenting LSU. They love bringing up any dirt though.
It's a Sports Hall of Fame right? not an alumni hall of fame or an academic hall of fame.

Making it mandatory to have a degree IMO is dumb. Plain and simple. It detracts from the hall of fame and minimizes the significant contribution some of these outstanding athletes have made and that have not only graced this university but also helped put it on the map and keep it there. (And for all you English majors....yes that is a run on sentence.)

At one time I can understand the whole finishing your degree rule, however the market calls for outstanding student athletes to leave school early and capitalize on maximizing their earning potential. It's become a business decision.

The rule should be amended.
