Wait. Hang on. Did that girl honestly take any of those dudes? The hell did it go?

This is a CYA by the AD and nothing but that. It gets the heat off of him and gives Mullen an out and thus another year. Great move Gators. The entire SEC celebrates this move.

It’s happening isn’t it ?

Who will be Muffin’s body guard now that Hevesy is gone? He will probably keep him as special assistant to the HC.

Not sure many elite DC's will want to work with Mullen. Maybe he can get Coach O

For him to fire his BFF John Hevesy, it must have been an ultimatum by UF.

Hevesy

Mullen should ask for his buyout and walk away. This is only delaying the inevitable.

IF the rumors are true that UF is going to let McGriff call the defense……. We will be in for some funny Florida games the rest of the year

Scape goats for Mullen. Hope he’s able to find more and stay at UF for awhile.

Someone needs to tell Nick that it’s ok to fire coaches during the season
Can it happen? Absolutely!
But that is an extremely fast way to lose your team. players are typically close to and loyal to their position coach. Firing a position coach in the middle of the season can absolutely wreck a team and cause factions to break out among the team and kill chemistry.
Saban is not a sentimental kind of guy. If he sees a change needs to be made I suspect it will happen post haste at the end of the season. His focus right now is going to be to try to smooth out the rough spots and get the team to peak at the right time. Somewhere around November 27th.

You hate to hear that for Mullen's sake. A man can easily injure himself throwing his buddies under the bus. I wonder if this will be enough to appease the fans and keep Mullen-a-mania running wild.

Could be but sounds more like a CYA from Mullen bc he never takes responsibility for anything.

No one in the SEC gives a shite bc the same players are on the field.

We will see what happens but might just be delaying what needs to be done. Only way I can see Mullen surviving is if Richardson was to develop into a good QB next season. If he was to run Richardson off starting Jones the last 3 games he is finished.

Agreed.
I do have to point out that no matter how far into the iceberg this thing goes it's still beating Tennessee.

This. I never thought I'd see this happen. Those two were connected at the hip.
