QB taken in the next draft .... Gus’ ineptitude shining bright once again... If Cam didn’t have once in a generation athletic capability he would have screwed him up as well. I’m so thankful Malzhan is finally gone and that AU football has hope!

IDK. Not a Gus fan, but I am not sure MW would have succeeded at any SEC school. He was tiny when he was here. This is one of those times where dropping to a smaller school, bulking up and gaining experience helped the player. Yes he would have maybe played at Vandy, but he would not have stacked numbers and would have faded out.

it also helps he has Hugh Freeze as his coach.

Whoever takes Willis as the number 2 QB is an idiot. He's not tiny but you can't expect a running QB to get you where you want to go in the playoffs without arm talent. He has a strong arm, very strong but you'd be drafting off potential. It'd be a massive risk because you can run the ball in the NFL but you can't take many hits.

Very very poor class of QBs this year. They will pump up a couple of them but overall I doubt any QB gets taken in the top 20. If I needed a QB badly I think I would eat another season try to sign a veteran and take another position this year. If Willis and Corral are the top 2 that should tell you everything you need to know.

How many times are we going to see a variation of this thread?

Who cares at this point. We’re 6-2 playing in a top 15 matchup tomorrow.

I agree. When they leave AU good luck but not interested in them. Like Gateway or any of them. I think it's hilarious with Little kitty Bryant. but anyone that doesn't disrespect us I wish them the best but don't really care what they do.

It would be a little different if Gus was still our coach and we were struggling, but he’s not, and we aren’t.

I’m with you - I’ll pull for these guys unless they give me reason not to!

Meh, he has put up some great stats. Playing absolute dogshit. I’m amazed he is ranked as high as he is. He’s done a great job in that system, but he has also had some prett my putrid games against people with a pulse

Willis himself said leaving Auburn was a wake up call and that he wasn’t necessarily focused during his time at AU.

I’m still convinced he is going to be a massive bust, but maybe he proves me wrong.

Dont be too hard on Luke. Gus had both hands on Luke's shoulders and he never pulled out

If he goes #2 - he should share a drink with Jamarcus Russell, Ryan Leaf, and Heath Shuler and laugh at the idiots that paid them.

He is not an NFL QB.

Same, but I’m tired of people bringing him up. He’s someone else’s problem now. Moving forward

Chill, man. Those guys were always at the top of their class, barely had to work, arrogant. Malik has worked hard to become a good QB. One might say he even turned chicken shite into chicken salad. Pull for the kid.

He didn't get a lot of opportunities here, but he couldn't even execute the zone read effectively in the limited snaps he took. I remember watching him one game and thinking that ain't Nick. I'm happy for him now and like others don't consider him a true NFL QB. Remember Hugh made Chad Kelly look like a possible NFL QB.

GTFO. We want to evaluate Willis exclusively on his performance at AU and take zero consideration of what he has done post transfer.

Rabble. Rabble Rabble. Rabble Babble Rabble

Bo beat him and Gatewood out

Everyone said it was a mistake

I dont think it was. The right decision was made. Nobody wanted Malik to be Nick Marshall 2 like I did but it just was not there.

Im happy for him and pull for him every week. But he is not a NFL QB and unfortunately never will be. I love watching him play at Liberty. It was a perfect fit for him.
