Adam’s Attorney: (quotes from lawyer I spoke with below his statement)
"Adam denies in the strongest terms possible the unfounded and unsupported allegations of sexual misconduct. He has been notified of the allegations made to the police and to the UGA Equal Opportunity Office (EOO), and has come to learn that the complainant has already apparently made inconsistent claims — that she was 'unconscious' during the conduct to the EOO but 'awoke' from sleep by the conduct to the police.
"In the interest of justice and fairness, Adam hopes and prays the UGA community and the public keep an open mind and not prejudge him based on inconsistent, unsubstantiated and baseless accusations."
**I just chatted with a lawyer and here are his thoughts:
Info on lawyer I spoke with: 30 years in civil, probate, real estate, elder law
Professional licenses: State Bar Of Texas
“He has not been charged yet. I would hope a month would belong enough here to at least charge him if he is charged. My hunch is the regular season will be over and depending on outcome he might even be bowl eligible if bond can be made here. It is a pending investigation here. There was sex here, consent is the issue.”
“Has a great lawyer here. Time will tell if he is charged with rape.”
“Laws including sexual battery: LINK ”
ME: is it a good sign he hasn’t been arrested?
Yes I am wondering if he will be charged, I mean all sex isn't rape for sure.”
“Lawyers like this are totally mesmerizing. I have seen this guy at seminars and lawyers stop what they are doing and listen to him.”
“The list of not guilty verdicts here is amazing:LINK “
“The Sadow Factor: LINK /“
“Video of him:LINK
Thanks again I wouldn't bet against him.“

I hope to God it’s not true. That’s all I’ll say for now until the saga progresses.

As it should be. Innocent until proven guilty.

Steve Sadow.
“In one of the most high-profile federal cases in Georgia history, Mr. Sadow successfully defended Steve Kaplan, the former owner of the notorious Gold Club strip establishment, against RICO conspiracy charges. Mr. Sadow also obtained what commentators have called a "miracle" outcome for rap/entertainment artist "TI" after he was charged with federal firearms offenses in Atlanta.“ LINK

Steve represented TI, Isiah Crowell, Rick Ross, usher and Ray Lewis as people you would know. Lots of prominent folks most wouldn’t know.

Good initial swipe to try to get something out to media to discredit the accuser but when you think about it, both of the above can easily be true. She could have been passed out while the conduct began and woken up at some point while it was occurring.
In any case, these situations are so frequently "he said/she said" and lacking evidence. Would be surprising if this went anywhere unless somebody's got video.

What the lawyer is saying is that she told the EOO at UGA that she was unconscious during the whole thing and told the police that she was awake for part of it.

All depends on whether there is a motive to fabricate on the girl’s part. If the girl was cheating with Anderson on a boyfriend or spouse, or if she had a history with Anderson, then the case probably won’t go anywhere, assuming it’s just he-said-she-said. If they had never met before that night and she came forward right away, then he is in serious jeopardy.
The quickness with which he and this lawyer came out with a pretty weak attempt to discredit his accuser smells like fear. I hope he didn’t do it, but seems like he might have…
