Dumb is dumb because if UGA only loss is in the SECCG they are in and everyone knows that.

Except the committee just ranked UA 2nd and even if UA was ranked 4th who cares. Cincy is not getting in. OSU and MSU have to play each other.
No way UGA would drop out of the top 4 except UGA better hope UA wins out the remainder of the season. Because if UGA plays a 2 loss team in the SECCG and happen to drop that game it may be the first time an SEC team is left out of the playoff.

This is correct.
The ranking doesn’t matter because Bama has to win out to be in. If they win out, they deserve to be in.

The committee said that they would look at teams that loose a game and how they lost.
Bama lost on the last play of the game to a walkoff field goal that was good by less than a foot.
Look at past history of Bama. They or UGA will win the championship.

I’m just as surprised as anyone but remember, this is the first ranking. Until the aTm loss, EVERYONE agreed Bama and UGA were the best two and it wasn’t even close. I think this is just a starting point.
For the most part, it’s going to play out for the legitimate contenders. Go to 12 if you want Cincy or Wake to matter.

Michigan St needed overtime to beat Nebraska(3-5), and they only beat Indiana(2-6) by 5, etc. Their offense is horrible.
They get a comeback win against a Michigan team that hasn't finished better than 3rd in it's own conference division since 2011, when they finished 2nd behind Michigan St. Michigan went 2-4 last year in conference.
And exactly what has Michigan done this year to be such a big time opponent? Because they beat 2 loss Wisconsin(3 loss Wisconsin counting the loss to Michigan)?
I wouldn't complain if Michigan St was ahead, but to say it doesn't make any sense for Alabama to be ranked ahead is just wrong.
It doesn't even really matter where either is ranked. Michigan St will still have to play Ohio St and Penn St before the year is over, and Alabama will play Georgia. The chances are neither of them will be in the final 4.

You are worried about what someone deserves. The committee is much more interested in who has the best team. As LSU will be reminded about Saturday night.
