To me it seems to be quite a few guys off the D - Leota and Harris come to mind, Puckett, and Pritchett, and Bo, Hunter, Shenker (and Fromm / Deal as I mentioned a few weeks ago and the general development of a terrific TE unit has us in great shape), and Brahms from our O. Man, all kinds of options and opinions I imagine and I am sincerely interested in what everyone thinks. Please let everyone know what you think and join in. Some people say that AU football is fun (and interesting, exciting, add your own adjective here) again. I 100% agree.
I will go with Leota on D and today's Bo on O right now.

I had a good feeling about Jarquez Hunter coming into the season, but I was surprised how good he was right off the bat.
OL as a whole I think is the most surprising to me, they're actually playing pretty well rn.
On defense I'm going to nominate all the transfers, who are collectively playing above my expectations. Knighten, Harris, Burks, and Leota especially

Offense Improved: passing game with diverse routes and targets. Bo has hit as many as 10 different receivers in a game.
Defense surprise: the line has been pretty good.

Gotta go with Bo right now on offense.
On defense, I'm gonna go with Puckett or Pritchett. I would say Harris or Leota, but I have no idea how good they were before they got here. So, I'll just say they've been a pleasant surprise.
Honorable mention to TD Moultry. If he has a strong finish to the season, he's been a nice surprise too. Most of us had written him off as a guy that was just never gonna get it all together and he's played up to his potential...finally. (when he has had the chance to actually be on the field)

quote:I hate to be that guy, but Knighten is one of our worst players. Him and Kaufman have been big time disappointments (Kaufman still has time to get better though). All the others I agree with though. Harris has been really good.
