Equally impressive (especially for a guy 6-4, 235 lbs):

On his 89-yard touchdown reception against UAB, Bowers hit a top speed of 21.9 miles per hour. That was the second fastest-recorded top speed in college football last week per Recruiting Analytics.
Bowers a star

“He’s a star. He’s a fast dude, aggressive and he knows how to makes plays on the ball,” senior Ameer Speed said. “He does it in practice and that’s why he’s able to do it on Saturdays.

Two freshmen...

And most sportswriters/casters would have us believe that Ypipo couldn't go that fast if you pushed 'em out of a plane.

Thats Tyrkee Hill or Ted Ginn Jr speed in the NFL. Tyrkee fastest is 22.6 which is also about the fastest clocked gametime ever and Tedd Ginn was at 22 mph.

Tyrkee likely hit that speed with the ball already in hand while mcconkey had to adjust a little to catch though the pass was near perfect.

It is also faster than any nfl soeed this year with tops being 21.6.

5 catches for 145 and a TD! That post route he ran was a beauty, but that stop and go for 50 yards was plain nasty. That kid runs GREAT routes. He is gonna be a star.

“I saw the heart of a warrior, you know,” Smart said of McConkey.

“I sat in that young man’s home and he didn’t have one power five offer and he wanted to play big-time football. All he did was make catches, punt return make plays, “

“I think any player on our team will tell you that Ladd McConkey outworks every guy out there“
