When our back up is a 2 star that couldn't even get offered by Incarnate Word?
What is the thought process? Hes injured but can play at tight end at 215 pounds?
He just sucks at throwing? Didnt want him to transfer like Foster? wtf

Need to lower expectations for this rebuilding and injury year. If all recruits are signed the options for QB look better for next year.

Not happening.
It's probably time to accept that A&M is NEVER gonna get there.
How many times, and how many decades have we been trying?
It is NEVER happening. Accept it now.

It's because when he got injured it greatly effected his throwing motion. He's even more inaccurate than Calzada at this point

It's getting depressing reading this board

It's depressing watching A&M football. I will watch again when King is back from injury, but there is absolutely no hope and no progress until then. None. Just watch the game if they somehow win

It really has. I came here years ago to get away from all the weirdos on the texags football board, but damn if a lot of people on here are worse this year. Might be better discussion over there right now and it hasn’t been that way in quite a few years.

Report from August 2022:
-there is a quiet confidence building in Bright this offseason. Players realize last year was not living up to our culture's standards.
-Our two 2022 o-linemen recruits look the part. PJ Williams has put on 20 pounds. Hunter Erb has coaches buzzing and could push for a role as a backup tackle.
-four of our offensive linemen have 13 starts under their belt as a unit. They will be much more physical and cohesive this year.
-I expect Demond Demas to be better this year. His route running and blocking have looked better this summer in practice.
-we lost Clemons, Peevy, Leal, Green, Wydermyer, Myles Jones, Richardson, O'Neal, Carper, Spiller and Smith but I expect us to be salty this year because we have a lot of "hungry young talent eager to prove themselves."
-11-1 is our ceiling this year if the o-line comes together like we think it will, and Weigman builds some synergy in the out of conference games.

Yes, the premium board updates from liucci and staff are hilariously copy and paste from year to year with just the names changed. It’s pretty obvious they are not good evaluators of a program. What are liucci’s credentials that would make him a trustworthy source? Hung out with some football players in college while he played flag football at the rec?
I don’t pay for premium because it’s a waste, but I used to like talking football on the main board until it became littered with the same old jokes and dumb references and stupid takes. Now I just read useful boards like the automotive, outdoors, health & fitness.
I like to talk football over here but damn all anybody is doing now is melting and throwing stupid ideas that are terrible takes (like yours of somehow making life for fisher so miserable he will walk away from a 9 million a year payday, and then we hire a coordinator that’s never been a head coach, get real).

I don't pay any attention to Liucci. I do like to watch the offensive and defensive game room breakdowns with McGee and Warren. I also like to hear what the McKinney brothers have to say about offensive line play.
I pay no attention to recruiting rankings. I evaluate how well we are doing by what I see on the field. I personally put very little stock in comments about overall talent level or class rank average.
Football is executed by position groups with units. Every position group within the offense, defense, and special teams units needs to be solid for us to compete at the highest level. Class rankings are misleading if certain position groups are emphasized at the expense of other position groups. Class rankings also do not reflect class attrition that occurs over time.
I think we will see continual improvement between now and when King might become available again. I think the OL group we started last week was the best one so far with the players we have available. I expect the OL group execution to continue to improve as long as we don't suffer any more injuries.

It's time for some of y'all to HTFU.
In fairness, I include myself in that group.

I disagree. I think Johnson at LT is an extreme liability.
Our best OL lineup is
LT - Green
LG - Ogunbiyi
C - Robinson (his natural position)
RG - Foster (RG is the easiest OL position)
RT - Fatheree

It's pretty depressing getting on here everyday and reading some of these comments. Bout to be a regular on the home and garden board or something just to get away from the sadness on here

You're right.
I guess I have simply grown weary. My first Aggie game was the 1987 Cotton Bowl against Ohio State, and I have watched as A&M football gets sooooo close one season, and the following season, expectations are high. We seem to be in the perfect position to really break through, and BAMMM!!!
shite season ruins all the progress. Rinse, repeat.
It's hard to not think there is some sort of espionage or other conspiracies at this point. I am about to start calling in hits.
