Does Daddy Nix have this much clout?

Nix would see the bench until graduation if I or Saban was the coach.

I expect him to start, and have a short leash.

At most I would give each a drive at the start of the game if I was that determined to start Nix or play both.

Wow, giving up on the Rebs I see. First chance to be relevant since Eli and you are worried about Nix. You are the biggest loser fan on this site.

He probably should start. Finley is a statue and he’ll be sacked 8 plus times next week with our o-line. If Bo comes out and plays terrible, just pull him again and roll with TJ.

Bo needs 8 plus carries this week. Time to start using his legs in designed runs.

I think that is the "Smart play" You start TJ and he struggles then you pull him, then you have pulled 2 Starting QB's in consecutive weeks and then probably lost both of them.

Start Nix, if he stinks it up against LSU like he did vs. GA. State then you do the same thing and pull him and send in Finley. At that point, you have only had to bench 1 guy (twice) and at that point you can decide to make a permanent switch away from Bo to TJ.

It is not about Daddy Nix, it probably has more to do with the opponent and where the game is being played.

I would assume Nix will start but will have a short leash. If things aren’t going well by the end of the 1st qtr, look for a change to be made. It is the smart way to Coach. Finley didn’t beat Nix out of the job during fall practice so it isn’t like Harsin doesn’t have some confidence in Nix.

Harsin may have coached a few more games than Mike Price, but this would still be a record quick firing if he starts Nix and loses.

Auburn needs to weather the storm and push out all the dipshit boosters.

It's aubuurn, TJ is not beating out Bo and TJ needs to start reading up on "THE" portal if he wants to be on the field for any meaningful play. Harsin is not dumb and is well aware of the protocol.

Either way, I'm sure the crowd will treat whichever QB starts with the utmost respect and decency. They'll be too tired to rag them by 8:00pm, anyway.

That would seem to be a dicey move. What would be the mood of the team if it appears that Finley just isn't gonna get a chance to start, period?
