Well, yeah lol. That was the question I had. At 6'5" 240+ and a lot of athletic ability, it seems like he could've worked himself in somewhere. TE seems like a place Pittman could use him at. We are desperately missing a Sprinkle.

Pretty sure he practiced there for a couple of weeks but IIRC reports were he didn’t have great hands

I know nothing about this kid, but I have been saying for awhile that Hornsby is too quick not to be on the field more. If he can’t really sling it, being a slot receiver would be a home run, seems to have the same build as Devonta Smith and as quick or quicker.
And every time I say that, someone says “hopefully Briles doesn’t read this forum.”
Which I agree if you are getting your ideas from an Internet forum, you probably shouldn’t be a coach at this level.

Game still needs to slow down for Hornsby. While it's tempting to want to get him in the game more by moving him to receiver he just has too much upside at the QB position to do so.

Yeah I mean kj is still a redshirt sophomore so theoretically Hornsby may have 2 more years to sit behind kj and learn, by then he should be more than ready to step in and light it up in this offense

I doubt Hornsby sticks around if KJ stays 2 more years. I'm actually worried he might bail after this season to get on the field.

I absolutely wrecked shop with him in my Arkansas dynasty on NCAA. He turned in to a monster after a few years of development.
