You are 2-2 but should be 4-0.

I think the inexperience of your young starters is the difference. Your OL is now clicking. That has helped the run game.

The QB is very accurate, he's just playing too tight for 2 to 3 quarters.

The younger rotation of receivers are not consistent enough in routes and catching. Starters are great, but in that system, they can't be out there all game.

It looks like every game (except ours) is winnable.

So.... Bowling still looks probable.

It's hard to see Mike Leach's style getting a whole lot more effective. Rush 3 and drop 8 in a zone and Leach just can't run the football.

In the SEC, it just ain't gonna work.

One more thing...

It's evident in the fact that those young players don't FOLD when they are down.

That's a great sign of culture and coaching.

Leach will start running the ball and opening up his passing attack... once he's down by three or so scores late in the game.

I am not sure that even Gus Malzahn was as dedicated to dogma over reality when it comes to play calling.

They ran all over us when he called running plays. It's not that they can't. It's that Leach won't stick with it. It's not in his DNA.

Yep. Hang tight. Leach is only 5 or so seasons away from running the ball against a 3 man front

Sure there is. You are not paying attention and are not looking at what he has done every where. Look at what he's done to MSU right now.

2 years ago, they were a team that could not throw, run, or catch.

It already has.

It is. Just go look at his past. I think MSU is pretty damn danged up at RB.

They have starting Sophomores everywhere it counts. QB, both RBs, 4 of the receivers (one is freshman I think), OT, CB, ...

Thanks for the plug. Team is just short of being bad and just short of being good.

Yesterday was very frustrating. It seems that when we take off the gloves and just play football, we can be good but for the most part we play like we are slow dancing with the homecoming Queen and we are scared we are going to step on her toes.

I like our grit and fight (in the 4th quarter) but we have got to eliminate mistakes and play more consistently. Obviously easier said than done. But we will see what happens going forward.

And anytime Leach has had to play anyone with a defensive pulse they are getting dissected. No explosion downfield and with the SEC willing to drop 7 and 8 in coverage it will be the long way for the Pirate.

If you don't run the ball and run with purpose in this league you are getting exposed. And this includes the likes of LSU and their own version of the air raid. The elite are simply going to cobble that stuff up.

Saturday was a demonstration that 2 wrongs don't make a right.

Agreed. The boneheaded challenge on the onside kick was ridiculous. I was extremely nervous about the thought of y’all getting the ball back with 20 seconds or so to go. One or two long bombs and y’all could’ve tied things up. Very lucky we got out of there with a win the way y’all were fighting in the 4th. Good game, dawgs.

how could anyone watch that shite show of a coaching effort and not be depressed? I can’t believe that anyone pays that man to coach a college team? I never realized how inept he was because I only saw highlights until he came to sec.

QB is trying too hard to play mistake free football.

Too tight.

RB's vision is not there yet. Not hitting the holes fast enough with consistency. When they do, they get to second levels.

Leach has faced 3-8 his entire career. You act like the SEC just invented that.

Watch a game. Find footage. They have guys open all game. ALL GAME. It's the lack of experience of the So QB.

We have that same issue BTW.
