I actually kind of dig this though. I remember when there used to be a lot of bitterness and vitriol betweeen Cocks and Cats fans. Now I actually find myself enjoying being around them during games because we share in misery and success. I love that we have been on the upside, but they are legit my favorite fanbase of an opponent because a lot of them are chill.

28-0 loss to Virginia in the Belk Bowl following the 2018 season killed any good faith Gamecock fans had that he could elevate USC to a level capable of competing for the SECE.
Florida fans were right when they told us not only would he ruin our program - he would suck every bit of joy and fun out of football. WM did that in spades in Columbia. 2019 & 2020 seasons were abysmal and void of any hope.
