In a prediction that should make every Hog ecstatic, Wally Hall has picked the Hogs to win tomorrow against our old SWC foe Rice 27-17. Link
This should make us all feel good as we head into next week and prepare for Texas coming to town!

I guess the point is to just win the first game but I’d be somewhat disappointed if we won by 10—winning by 3 TDs or so would be good.

This SHOULD be a comfortable win for us. So should have Toledo a few years ago.
A lot of factors could make this a not so impressive win.
As I understand it, Rice has a pretty decent defense. Their team will come in wanting a showcase win against an SEC team.
I believe we will run a pretty vanilla offense, not showing too much.
Jefferson had a pretty good game against Mizz, but will that carry over? We'll soon find out about his consistency.
Hoping for a blowout, but expecting a tighter game than we'd like.

I would have felt much better if Wally had picked Rice by 10. I'd have taken out another mortgage on the house and put it all on Arkansas. I'm not saying Wally has reached Pio level but I am starting to think they are related.
