Would any other school be willing to pay the following coaches their current salary?

1. Nick Saban (Alabama) ($11,100,000)
2. Jimbo Fisher (Texas A&M) ($9,000,000)
3. Ed Orgeron (LSU) ($8,918,500)
4. Dan Mullen (Florida) ($7,600,000)
5. Kirby Smart (Georgia) ($6,933,600)
6. Lane Kiffin (Ole Miss) ($5,250,000)
6. Bryan Harsin (Auburn) ($5,250,000)
8. Mark Stoops (Kentucky) ($5,013,600)
9. Mike Leach (Mississippi St) ($5,000,000)
10. Josh Heupel (Tennessee) ($4,000,000)
10. Eli Drinkwitz (Missouri) ($4,000,000)
12. Sam Pittman (Arkansas) ($3,000,000)
13. Shane Beamer (South Carolina) ($2,750,000)
N/A. Clark Lea (Vanderbilt) (private)
I'd say Saban, Smart, Kiffin, Stoops, Drinkwitz and Pittman would have suitors immediately if the only barrier to hiring them was paying $1 more than their current salary.

And Ed will probably be extended if LSU goes 10-2 or 11-1. Just the way it is.

Kirby is very underpaid.
Edit: Like take out your opinion on Jimbo and his salary and just compare Kirby to Mullen. Kirby should be making considerably more.

Saban and Kiffin are probably the only 2 who are not overpaid. I think some of the shine is going to come off of Kiffin after this season though. He had no expectations last year other than getting the offense moving, which he more than accomplished. This year is different as many have picked Ole Miss to finish 3rd in the West. Of course he could have a great year which may make him a desirable coach to many programs.
Actually I take that back, they are all overpaid.

I wouldn't have imagined Harsin is making that much.
To me, so much of it depends on the school's culture, how loyal the fans are and the quality of the facilities. I would not want to leave for another university that was less prestigious in those categories in exchange for an extra million per year. When you're making so much money as a head coach, a million is not that great of a difference. You're already a very rich man at that point- what difference does a few extra millions over a few years really make? It matters most to those with venture capital or private business operations.

To elaborate, there's a strong correlation between prestige and money offered, so my statement may seem like a truism. But there are some schools I would never want to coach at no matter what money they offered me due to things like a toxic fanbase and/or corrupt AD.

Depends what time of the year you are looking for a coach. December resumes may have a lot of shine off the. Like I always say "Jelly of the Month".

Only Nick, Kirby, Lane, and Mark
Edit: I read it wrong. Those are just my personal ones I could see at UGA for their price.

Lane is so over paid. Dude can’t even beat LSU in our worst season since the 90s

If I'm Del Conte and Hartzell, Saban would be the only one I would hire at those prices.

Saban is probably paid about 1/4 of what he's actually worth in terms of added value to his employer.
