This makes zero sense from A&M’s perspective. Were y’all afraid someone was going to snatch Jimbo from you? Regardless of how much money you have, to make Jimbo the 2nd highest paid coach in the nation is asinine. The dude hasn’t won the west, the conference, been in the playoffs, or sniffed the natty there. I guess because y’all beat some people in a covid year and are recruiting well, that deserves a big raise and extension. Never change aggy.

Was there any real threat of Jimbo leaving anytime soon? Kind of an odd time for an extension/raise if he hasn’t won anything significant yet.
