DawgNation Podcast

I do put stock in his assessment/opinion and if it is really that concerning, we might need some turnovers in order to win this thing.

Saw the headline previously about his skepticism but didn't listen to the podcast. What were Murray's concerns about our offense?

JT hasn't looked great it sounds like. But I remember hearing that he didn't look great in practice last year and he ended up being our best QB. He might be the kind of guy who plays well in games but struggles in practice. Also worth noting that during the public scrimmages that they kept the offense bland to throw Clemson off.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't concerned because I am, but I wouldn't worry too much.

I didn't listen but I think the gist of it is that we looked bland. Looked like a James Coley/Jim Chaney offense.

Could that possibly be due to so many injuries to receivers and getting younger guys in a lot more than expected? I know that was an issue in some early practices and the first scrimmage. We've been kind of mix-and-match with all the injuries.

I guess we’re all a little anxious about the offense? Some unknowns and playing against a very good defense. A lot of questions will be answered Saturday night

Aaron Murray once said that Richt was training the Dawgs to be, among other things, great wives. Since that point I've discounted Aaron's every word.

He's a DGD and one of my favorite players, but I'm taking a wait-and-see approach to his comments.

He basically admits in the interview to basing his comments off of one scrimmage open to the public “Magill Society” in which the offense is very vanilla and burton, Jackson, and others didn’t play and they shuffled the online the entire time. So yea. Great earth shattering analysis there Aaron

I hope those are the reps that Murray watched.

Murray is my all time least favorite UGA qb. Our defense knows what our offense is going to do, they see it everyday. Given we are built around defense, this is not surprising at all.

It matters more when the other team doesnt know....

Didn't listen, so I don't know if this is whats happening here, but it's pretty obvious that Murray is desperately trying to be accepted as a tv analyst/broadcaster. So instead of just being honest and natural when it comes to UGA, he ends up trying way too overly hard to not be a homer in hopes of impressing the cool kids in the broadcaster club. It's pretty gross.

Pollack used to be really bad about doing this too.

Say what you want about his skills as a commentator but he was the all time leading passer in SEC and UGA history and was also a warrior on the field who took multiple cheap shots and kept getting up.

Not sure what there's not to like about the guy.

I trust murray as a talent evaluator.
But i question what he saw at the scrimmage. We were still doing musical chairs at several positions. And several players had just returned to practice from lingering injuries.

This might be the worst take I've ever seen in my life. Even if you've only watched uga football since 2010, it would still not even be possible to hold this opinion.

Oh no, he fumbled everytime he got hit for several seasons.

Other qbs may have played worse, but none more aggravating than Murray.

He could be right or wrong, but he's a hot take media guy now and that means I have to take it all with salt, regardless of how much I like or dislike him.
