So who's your coach of the future?

Most (99%) of people didnt know who Lincoln Riley was before OU so something tells me they will be just fine.

Yeah we’ve sucked for over a decade but who’s going to be your coach in 2025 when your coach is so successful he goes to the NFL??? How do you not know who your coach will be 4 years down the road??
Oh and by the way, if Alabama hadn’t hired Saban he would’ve totally gone to UT and won 6 championships here!!

Definitely won't be Josh Heupel. Good luck with that.

I don't know if you are right or not, but the NFL is a qb driven league and he is the premiere qb developer in college right now. I'll say there is about a 50/50 shot, assuming he is interested in the NFL.

Maybe you should be concerned with your coach of the future.

Riley isn't going anywhere.

Mike McCarthey will be out of Dallas soon and Lincoln will get the first call from Jerry Jones.

Until Jones fires jerry jones, ehy would anyone want to coach there.

No HC in good standing has ever left Oklahoma for an NFL job or any other job.

OU will be top 5 of their SEC division most seasons. They will be fine.

I don't know if any top 5 coach would leave college for the NFL...... If any did though I think it would be Ryan Day as he has experience in the NFL. Don't think he will ever leave Ohio State though. I wouldn't.

I think Lincoln would be a tremendous NFL coach, but I think he's holding out for the cowboys job and probably won't leave until Jerry Jones is no longer involved, which could be a while.
It wouldn't be smart to leave for any other job. Lincoln has it made in Norman

Shut down this thread.

If he's even remotely thinking about the NFL, now is the time. That defensive effort he brings to the SEC will get exposed and that won't look good on anyone's resume.
Best get before the NFL finds out he's only good at coaching half the LOS.

Every time we've gotten a new coach, the sports media spends the first 9 years of his career jibber-jabbering about what NFL job he'll take soon.
Then Bob was going to take the Notre Dame job.
Then Bob was going to take the Florida job.
Then Bob was going to take the Cleveland job.
Then would Bob take the Dallas job?
And the pattern repeats with young Riley.
It's pretty comical.

Tennessee is having a hard time with another underachieving orange T in the house.
