With Myles injury today , of course lots of QB talk. I was asked if Bama s QB got nicked up , who has/is emerging as your No 2 QB ? I know last year, some were saying Papa Bear Bryant’s relative, Grandson I think could actually ball ? Or is the Texas Freshman- Milroe showing early flashes ? Fill us in a little please.

Milroe didn't play in our spring game, so who knows? What you hear is that he's easily our fastest QB and he has done a lot of good things. Paul Tyson is also getting pretty much the same accolades in practice but obviously has a lot more time in the system.

My guess is we have 3 guys who could play if need be. But not much game experience. With all this system offense these days, that probably isn't the concern it used to be.

I guess it depends on situation and team we're playing that week.

Milroe.

Hope so. Texas asked him to look elsewhere. Has some upside but doesn’t seem too polished.

Did you tell him to look elsewhere and expect even a bigger fish, that you didn't get, and then couldn't get Milroe interested in your program again?

How Texas of you.

Can you turn it off for a second!? Y'all let the #1 QB before reclassification get snatched by tOSU, pretty much Texas tried to recruit him up to the point until he signed with Bama.

Texas has alot of relationships to repair among Texas High school coaches there. It's not a big secret either.

Texas told him no thanks so the kid settled with going to Bama. Yeah, that's believable

Tyson has been under center for 2nd team snaps thus far and staff reports are that he has great long ball, plus he knows the system. He is clearly the first option off the bench.

I had high hopes for Tyson, but he simply did not have good scrimmages leading up to that point, at least from what I observed. Milroe outplayed him in nearly every facet, IMO.

Young generally looked about as good as one would hope, except for some bad decisions here and there (as expected due to inexperience).

Young and Milroe’s accuracy and velocity were noticeable. Tyson generally looked slow and frustrated to me.

Texas is well known for their handling of recruitment of QBs.

Then you saw a lot more of him than I did. Milroe not playing in the spring game was very disappointing for me. If he's Jalen Hurts good, we might see some of him on the field this season anyway.

I don't think any of us know but I'd guess if the injury were short term in nature we'd turn to Tyson to manage things and not screw it up, but if it was a season ending thing and the backup was going to play for an extended period it would be Milroe.

But again, that's all a guess. It would definitely be a problem for us. One seems to be pretty talented but super raw and the other one just doesn't appear to be a high level SEC QB.
