I could see them turn Clemson and FSU down now to wait and see what the fallout politically is going to be taking OU and Texas. They don't want to be fighting a war on 2 fronts with commissioners and politicians and lawyers from the left behind schools.

Wowzees.
SEC doesn't think Clemson and FSU bring the streaming numbers OU/TX do.
Any word yet from the SEC on the colossal streaming numbers of UVA and North Carolina?

Complaints about Tx., Oklahoma, & Mizzouri on geography......& now you want to add ND (Indiana)???

Geographically, this makes much more sense than adding Arkansas, Missouri, Texas and Oklahoma.
Just sayin'.

You people aren't paying attention...

Neither team can afford to give up ALL of their TV money until 2036. Clemson and FSU aren't going anywhere (and neither is any other ACC team...)

The ACC has an ‘exit fee’ to leave the conference set right at about $52 million. I know what you’re thinking here: What’s the big deal? Clemson would make enough off its first year of television revenue payout in the SEC to cover that ‘exit fee’ and there’s a chance that the SEC would even pitch in to help.
While that exit number is doable, it’s the league’s Grant of Rights agreement that all but keeps schools locked into the conference.
For those who are unfamiliar, a Grant of Rights agreement is written permission from an institution- like Clemson- to relinquish control of television rights for the duration of the deal. The ACC’s deal is set to expire in 2036. If you leave the ACC, you forfeit the television earnings. So, when you total what Clemson might make off its ACC television payout, you’re talking hundreds of millions of dollars.

From a TV market perspective, Oklahoma and Texas do technically make more sense.
Geographically, FSU and Clemson make more sense.
